Originally, it was the desire to have my high school body back. It evolved into a love of weight lifting and exercising in general. Now, I'm losing weight to get to a body fat percentage to do my first bulk.0

Only for me. I never want to look in a mirror and be discouraged - I also never want to let my weight hold me back from anything again. Confidence = living a better life. I no longer feel awkward in a bikini, I am no longer intimidated by things that I used to be scared of. Weight loss broke barriers for me and self worth is more important than fitting into a dress.
Plus weight lifting has changed my life - new passion, new strength and new leaner body.0 -

My glucose number was in the prediabetic range. Lost one grandparent to T2 and am currently losing another one to it. Knew where I was headed and decided to change direction. So health was the real reason for me.0 -

Because I couldn't make it up a flight of steps without struggling to breathe and not being able to just keep up with other people. I think for me it's not so much the "losing weight" part of my newfound journey, it is a lifestyle...to own it is to live it! To call it something else like a "diet" only gives it temporary meaning... my thoughts.:flowerforyou:0

Boring reasons:
To be healthier
To cross a Half Marathon off my bucket list
To say I accomplished the goals I've set for myself and be proud of that fact
Selfish reasons:
Vanity
Gain more confidence

Do something an overachieving sibling has not done so I can quietly rub it in her face.0 -
one of the things that made me start was when I sat down I had fat rolls on my side, and I could feel my skin fold over and touch itself (if that makes sense) now I want my muffin top gone, its alot smaller, but still there and I hate it ugh. and I want to rock a bikini, I was so close this last summer, then gained 11lbs back, so my goal is to have my bikini body by July0
