Why are you losing weight ??

Health and wanting to have more strength and cardiovascular capacity. I like doing hikes, I study a subject that sometimes need endurance and strength, so I would like to be feeling up to it.
I didnt want to only lose weight, I went there and saw it many times in past, I realized what I want is not a number only, is feeling good in my body everyday. In past I wanted like be as thin as I could at the moment always, but that took me nowhere, I felt bad and moody.
Now I feel very well everyday, I can do more stuff I had hard time doing, my normal walking speed (errands) is the highest since ever and I dont feel tired so much on physical effort. So thats it. And of course feeling good in my skin includes looking healthy and nice0 -
To be a better cyclist. Weight matters. Recreational cyclists will pay thousands to shave a pound off the bike here and there, but walk around with a beer belly.0

to be healthier for my self and my girls and to teach them some good habits that even if they fall off of them that no matte what you can pick your self back up and start all over again0
-
To be confident and to be able to strut my stuff without feeling like a big glob.0

To lower LDL cholesterol
To sit more comfortably in plane seats
To get rid of the much despised back fat
To feel good about myself
I accomplished all of it!0 -
I need to be in good health as one of my children is physically disabled. I need to be able to take care of him without hurting myself or him by being to out of shape to move him around. I also know he will need be to be here with him for as long as possible and that would not happen if I continued to be obese.0

Truthfully for my health, be there for my son, teach him some good habits.
For myself. I just want to see what ideal weight looks like on me and how I feel once there. If it's anything like how I feel on the journey as I lose the weight, I'm going to be extremely pleased!
Forgot to add my mantra (at the moment) "Doing it for the Damn, you got HOT!"0 -
Because I couldn't make it up a flight of steps without struggling to breathe and not being able to just keep up with other people. I think for me it's not so much the "losing weight" part of my newfound journey, it is a lifestyle...to own it is to live it! To call it something else like a "diet" only gives it temporary meaning... my thoughts.:flowerforyou:
This! Exactly what I wanted to say!0 -
So I can stop cringing when I walk past my full-length mirror naked.0

1. So I can finally make a movie I have been wanting to make without being self-conscious
2. Because if I get the munchies at least it won't be accumulating on top of what I have now lol :glasses:0 -
For my health so I can ultimately be around for my kids and grandkids...0

I absolutely hated the way I looked. I avoided mirrors and shiny surfaces at all cost, I even avoided just going out of my apartment in general. I also wanted to lose weight so I could start dating. There are a ton of girls at a healthy weight on campus, so why would a guy ask me out when he could ask out a skinny girl?0

Started for health reasons and to get off of medications. I am now of all medications and want too continue losing to be healthy for my kids and grandkids(eventually).
To not be the biggest mom at parent teacher conferences.
To look good in (and out) of clothes.
To show all of those who said I couldn't do it how great I look and how I did do it.0 -
To look good
I like feeling in control
I feel better about myself when I'm eating less0 -
I'm losing because I'm not happy with the way I look. I'm not happy with my health. I want to improve that. I'm not happy the way I am. I can change that, so why wouldn't I?0

I want a man who looks after himself, and I think it would be unfair to someone like that to have a woman who doesn't.
Also I love looking at myself and seeing a healthier me.0 -
Obviously to be healthier (as I was barely able to walk for 2 years) AND to be able to do FUN things with my 12 yr old daughter who has been missing out on all the same fun her older siblings had (Our other kids are 24-38). Definitely can't wait to take her on vacation this summer0

I get out of breath hiking up mountains. I love hiking in the Cascades and I need to lose weight.
Second reason - I'm too fat to fit in a motorcycle track suit. Last year, I wore pants but I had to rip out the seams on the inside for my thighs to fit. Even then, they were so tight that I needed help getting on my bike. I'd like to fit in something by summer, but it will probably be the summer after that.0 -
I also want my size 7 body back from highschool. I want to go lower in my medication. atleast that's what my psychiatrist says. she said if I loose weight the less medication she will give me and I wont feel so tired. I want to look good for my trip to Italy this summer. and I want people to WOW themselves when they see me.0
