An old one, but fun enough to bring back.
You know you've been doing it for too long when even your anxiety dreams involve diet and fitness stuff. Lent begins today and the first week is kind of brutal so I went to bed last night feeling a bit anxious about water fasting today. I had a dream that I was in another country to do my first race but NOTHING was going as planned. I was wearing house slippers and could not find my favorite shoes, and when I finally gave up and decided to wear whatever, the only shoes I found had gaping holes in them. It was hot and I was wearing a heavy sweatshirt with no other option in sight. I could not find my running tights so I decided, screw it, I'll just wear whatever pants I can find, and when I put them on, they turned out to be a long pencil skirt that was too big for me. I laughed when I woke up, but inside the dream I was genuinely distressed and frustrated.
ETA: you know you've been doing this a long time when you remember exactly what thread you want to bring back from 2013.11 -
When you wake up and log that morning's scale weight even before coffee, and fall asleep at night prelogging for the next day.5

Thanks for bringing this thread back amusedmonkey - I've had a lovely giggle and identified with so many of these!
I haven't been doing this long enough to have seen this thread first time around, but you know you've been doing this a long time when you know in advance that your weight is going to fluctuate up due to that sodium/heavy workout/TOM .....and it doesn't freak you out when it actually does.4 -
Thank you @amusedmonkey for bringing this thread back0

When you bring a food scale AND your bathroom scale on a week long vacation.3

Now this is where I'm hoping to get to! I tend to be in a lot of denial about my portions and bits and pieces I get on the way through the kitchen and when cooking.0 -

Just because you aren't going to care about the total calorie count doesn't negate the value of knowing how many calories you had.0 -

Yep. I always log, even if I'm going to end up 1000 calories over.1
