A romantic date is when your boyfriend cooks for you and leaves all the UPCs or food labels out for you to scan/log,
LOL aww too cute. I need one of those!1 -
You know exactly which meals you can have during the day and how much exercise you need to get to have a few drinks or fancy dinner in the evening.
:drinker:0 -
You take a pee and know how much weight you just lost.
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
You know the caloric differences of the same type of food that comes from a different brand.
You also have the ability to fairly accurately guess the amount of calories in an item or meal by sight.0 -
You find that delicate balance between scanning the forums for interesting posts you might respond to and the involuntary eye roll that happens when you see the same question yet again.1

When you don't need a scale to know your weight.1

You've gotten very good at basic math from adding up calories in your head.
Your parents start asking, "We're making dinner tonight- is it your carb or fat day?"1 -
SOO true! LOL!0

You see a new post about new years and the gym and you know it will end in tears.0

Crappy foods no longer tempt.
If I'm going to indulge on calories is going to be homemade/made from scratch with high quality ingredients and love! Damitt! LoL!

When whole milk taste thick, creamy and yucky to the palette!
My son had a stay in the hospital and they brought in your basic carton of whole milk on the breakfast plate.
He and I took a taste before we put it over the cereal and just couldn't go it, the milk taste aweful to us.
At that time we had been drinking skim milk for about a year.
Same when we first started on the skim, to us it tasted watered down, no flavor. The taste buds DO change,
that is a fact.0 -
When you can eyeball your Greek yoghurt portion within 5 grams of what it weighs!

When your coworkers ask you to help them log their food (How many oz of cheese is that? 2.25, log 2.5 to be safe)
When you get 10 friend requests any time you post in the forums because you don't spout bullshiz.0 -
When you count calories in your dreams (wish I was kidding)
When you do a quick add for 2200 calories for your Christmas dinner then decide to just enter everything the right way and you were pretty much spot on anyway (and you had 13 different things)
When every plate you're going to put food on ends up on the scale... even when it's for the kids (habit)
When there are foods you have pretty much given up on because you've decided that they're just not worth the calories anymore.2 -
When you look at random strangers and wonder if they're cutting, bulking, or maintaining (as opposed to being simply overweight due to indifference, which I previously assumed).2

People you meet think you are "naturally" skinny - HA!1

hahaha I love this cus it all makes me feel totally normal! (pretty much all in inlaws think I'm weird when I weigh my pizza I think..)0

You can tell approximately how many calories are in a food, even if you haven't eaten it before, just by guessing the ingredients.
You know exactly how much water weight you will be gaining after certain meals or a certain calorie intake day.
You know your heart rate just by the way you're breathing.
Your family members buy you gifts of clothes that are too small because it's a given no-brainer that if they buy something that fits it will be too large in a couple of months.
When a family member sets the table, they place a food scale next to your plate.
You've had so many discussions about certain words (gluten, sugar, fat, clean eating.. etc) that they stop registering in your brain. Your eyes magically jump over these topics automatically without even reading the title, and a verbal conversation magically turn into some kind of white noise you just nod to.

When given the option of my typical go-to meal and French fries I opt for my go-to *holds up index finger & thumb in the shape of a 'L' on forehead*0

You bring measuring cups and a food scale to work to weigh portions of food at potluck days. Yes, I am a dietitian. And yes, I do measure my food 90% of the time. It makes it way easier to log. I even ask the host of a party for a 1/4 cup measuring cup BEFORE I dig in at the food served. I'm not going back to my 80+ lb heavier self. It has cost me way too much time and money (plastic surgery) to blow it.0

When you know you don't really have to reply to this post because you have been nodding your head as you read it- but do anyway.

When you pre-log any options for take out on the way home so you know where to stop and what to order to not go over your calories. Tonight it's between Phad Thai, Gyros or Buffalo Wings...It's a hard decision because they all fit..0

And it was my post and I was thinking that I didn't remember writing it (because it is a year old!). But I had ONCE AGAIN used my Christmas pudding recipe - three years in a row! And already in my recipe file.
