2 chicken breasts cut into bit size pieces
Box of Uncle Ben's wild rice
Chicken broth, low sodium or water according to box
Put everything together in a pot and cook 25 min according to box
I like to put tomatoes on top in a bowl, with a little low fat Italian dressing, but it's good without and reheats well0 -
Poor man's Kahlua pork:
~5 lb or whatever of Pork butt / shoulder
Tablespoon-ish of Hawaiian pink salt
Tablespoon of Liquid smoke
Slow cook for 8-10 hours - shreds easily when done, serve over rice.
Keeps well, frozen. Money in the bank.0 -
Chicken breasts
Pour a can of Rotel over the chicken. (add black beans or corn if you'd like or taco seasoning but not necessary)
Bake for about 30 minutes at 350 or until 170 degrees
Then I sprinkle some shredded cheese over each breast before serving.
Sounds good! Thanks for sharing.:flowerforyou:0 -
My favorite 3 ingredient recipe is Pan Fried Garlic Chicken
Ingredients:
Boneless/Skinless Chicken Breast
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Thaw frozen chicken breast. Once thawed, trim excess fat and season one side with garlic powder and onion powder. You can add seasoned salt for taste (I usually do). Once seasoned, place chicken in frying pan season side down first. Cook for 10-15 minutes over medium to med high heat. While chicken is cooking, apply seasoning to the side that's up (unseasoned side). After 10-15 minutes, flip chicken and cook another 10-15 minutes. Serve.
A 3 lb bag of chicken will make 4-5 servings as the chicken breast will shrink while cooking. If using a non-stick pan, only use cooking spray prior to adding chicken to pan. If you're like me and have a stainless steel set, only use enough oil to lightly coat the pan.
This recipe is excellent with steamed vegetables and seasoned or au gratin potatoes0 -
Bump for later. I want to try the original recipe on the thread. I'm a Buffalo chicken fanatic0

In the slow cooker:
1. Fresh or frozen boneless chicken breasts
2. Jarred marinara sauce (enough to submerge the chicken)
Cook on low 4-6 hours (closer to 6 for frozen chicken), then shred for Italian chicken sandwiches, wraps, over pasta.
3. Top with mozzerella or parmesan cheese
Sometimes I'll toss in some zucchini or spinach or mushrooms, too.
I use that with beef roast. I call mine "pizza steak". Sometimes I add onion and bell peppers.0 -

I was going to post this but you beat me to it...lol...I made something similar to this last night. I used a 6 lb shoulder blade roast, 1 tbsp coarse sea salt since I didn't have Hawaiian salt, & 4 tbsp liquid smoke. It was AWESOME...reminded me of Hawaii!!!!0
