    I bet you are inspiring literally thousands of MFP members, truthfully. Every time I read something you post, I get tears in my eyes because my grandmother was like you her entire life...but after she broke her leg when I was eight or so, she did the opposite of you and gave up and got larger and larger, and I lost her much sooner than I should have, when I was in junior high. Thank you for doing this for your family like my beloved grandmother did not.

    Your story resonates in so many ways - and one of the most poignant points you make is about the incorrect assumption/belief that once one hits menopause that weight loss is near impossible - combined with being in a wheel chair, well even more proof that people can do amazing things when they put their mind to it.
