I agree, but theyre fun to look at.0

Good. I hope it does ruin your perception of women.
I hope you stop thinking that out of shape, overweight, lazy girls are normal and all that is out there. That girls who lift and take pride in challenging themselves are indeed real.
The fitness chicks on IG are all real people, not media. And we're going to continue to support #flexfriday and we're never going to stop #gymselfies.
You are not alone.
I this! I can't wait to see all the IGfitness girls at the LA FITEXPO this weekend   :bigsmile:0 -
Eh, there's lots more to Instagram than girls. I prefer the boys, myself.0

Well, I never joined Instagram but now I am very curious. I'm glad the men on here appreciate REAL women though. :-) I don't need any more narcissistic social media sites in my life. Facebook is enough. Twitter, Instagram, whatever else is the hot/new thing...I don't really care to try. I prefer real interactions with real people in my life, but that's just me. Apparently, I'm not missing anything.0

Strong friend beg from op.
not sheriff serious. i didnt even mention my IG name ITT0 -
Hot girls are hot; I enjoy looking at them whether they are fake, real, hybrid, etc. I dont feel like it makes me less self-esteem-y at all.
It is nice to look attractive things. Period.
If you feel bad about yourself or lose your perception after looking at certian people or photos, stop it.0 -

The whole Jen Selter thing drives me crazy...to me it doesn't look real but whatever helps people sleep at night I guess. The majority of those girls are bronzed & airbrushed, you can see a difference between them and someone who just took a gym selfie all sweaty. And seriously, we ALL know they're implants.0 -
I can bore you with pictures of my kids, my food, my drinks, some tennis and fitness stuff.
I think there are some dog pics too.0 -
Can you really get a fake butt that looks real? I thought it had too many issues. I saw one video where the implant flipped over. Ick. That girl's butt looks real to me. But even if it isn't, or if she has fake boobs (which I don't think anyone can tell, unless someone deliberately gets the "porn star round" boobs), who cares? Follow her or don't. It's not a big deal either way.0

what's an "Instagram girl?"
jk I know what they are- I don't use instrgram- so not an issue0 -

PMMA (a sort of implant) has been the rage in South America for years. Those brazillian butts everyone loves? PMMA. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poly(methyl_methacrylate)
In Brazil, Venezuela, and a few other countries, PMMA in the butt is the equivalent of American's with breast implants.
I dont get the implant hate though. Breast implants are still real. Yes, very very real  IG girls are real, but more like mythical unicorn real. You just dont see them in real life.0 -
I just see this when I think of butt implants. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lt8Tai5OIfU
I'll take a million squats over that.
But I don't get implant hate either. If they're close enough to see or touch, no one is going to complain.0 -
Jen Selter does not have a fake butt.
Its not even that huge. She just has phenomenal ratios/proportions.0 -
i quit following all the photshopped girls and fitness girls from Instagram. was ruining my perception of women. anybody else feel that way?
I wish I could like this. haha I definitely feel the same way0 -
I am not on instagram, but my friends who are or other people I see post via facebook, I thought they just used filters, not actual photoshopage (enlarging, sculpting, whatever else to change your actual appearance). To me there is nothing wrong with adjusting contrast, filters, etc. Once you manipulate your actual face and body to where it doesn't look like you is wrong. We could say the same about make-up, tanning, implants, hair extensions, and what not.0

I like to follow fitness people on IG. This for me, helps motivate me to get my *kitten* to the gym. Especially when i'm not feeling up for the gym that day. I like scrolling those motivating photos.
But i get why photoshopping is annoying. I like to see real fitness bodies and the real faces attached to those amazing bodies. I think those girls are beautiful either way, why photoshop? Its like some of the other posts are saying: They're real girls, just not unicorn real. I have nothing against using filters like black and white or vintage, etc. but when you photoshop your face and body, its not really "you" anymore. I like real girls. honestly. they worked hard for those amazing bodies, etc.
(did anyone see those stupid photoshopped photos of Kim. K a few weeks ago? thats deceiving)
What i find more annoying than photoshop is that these fitness pages promote other "fitness people" whom are really porn stars or playboy models. these girls are beautiful but not fitnes related. Drives me insane and I have to unfollow those pages.0 -

did you just tell me that I have fake tits and an airbrushed face because I said I post flexfriday pics and gym selfies??? REALLY???
thanks for the insult. really sweet.
i'll be at the gym worrying about reaching my next marks and not worrying about what you think of my chest.
so cold. shakes head.0 -

not a great discussion when youre accused of being fake just because you lift and take pictures in the gym. im out.0 -
I still don't get the point of instagram. My understanding is that it is a way for non-famous people to get other non-famous people to follow them for no apparent reason? Someone correct me if I am wrong.
