Its just another label in a long list of labels we use for people every day. We all use labels in some form or fashion, some good & some bad. They are open to interpretation person to person. Personally I don't find it offensive (not that I've been called one but I fit the age demographic) but if its a choice between being called a cougar or a middle aged mom I'll pick the cat label thank you very much (sleek v. saggy)
