    Yes, it counts. Especially if you go to conventions and cosplay. I'm going to Naka-kon in March and I'm making an Erza Scarlet costume.

    I'm a programmer by trade, and last week I played a game which centered around moving little miniatures of Star Wars ships around on a 3' x 3' felt starfield while the Imperial March played on someone's Macbook. Can anyone top that? ;)

    Yeah, I'm kind of in this boat, too. I'm a pretty big nerd about Star Wars, comic books, H.P. Lovecraft / Robert E. Howard, RPGs for the SNES (FFII and III, Chrono Trigger, Earthbound), I'm one of the biggest movie nerds I know...

    ...but the fact that I don't really do anima, manga, cosplay or tabletop RPGs might disqualify me. I like some pretty extremely dorky metal music. The Lord Weird Slough Feg? Blind Guardian, anyone?

    I've been a dork/spaz/freak my entire life; I like comics (mostly Dark Horse, Vertigo, stuff like that), Schwarzenegger/ John Carpenter era/style action sci-fi, horror movies...

    I am currently a math major and thinking about minoring in space studies or geology because stars and dinosaurs are two of my favorite things; looks like I'm maturing into a fine young nerd lol

    I program (android applications), design websites, design networks, virtual infrastructures, watch anime, read comics, play video games, play magic (on computer didn't go back to cards yet), board games (LOVE TABLE TOP @ Geek and Sundry!), and just a ton of other things.

    I've even attempting to nerd my apartment (divorced and can finally release my inner nerd) and customize my dining room table with a map of Tamriel and make my seat cushions something cool (maybe the different races?) just gotta find the fabric. Customizing my bed with some antique comic posters.
