We don't know what constitutes a true paleo diet!

Wow this thread is still going on...My feelings are don't voice an opinion about the diet until you've actually tried it. Then if you haven't noticed any improvements in how you feel, or you feel worse or whatever then feel free to bash it all you want. Studies are helpful, but if I feel like crap eating a particular way I don't care what the supposed science says, it doesn't work for me. Experience is the best teacher
this thread is the gift that keeps giving….well maybe not…:)0 -
Not sure why there's always such a crazy debate over the paleo/primal diet.
Because there's always a crowd who starts claiming it provides magical health benefits.
Personally I don't care what anybody eats. Eating paleo, however one chooses to define it, is as fine as eating anything else. The problem arises when the dietary born-agains insist it is the *best* way to eat. Followed closely by the related group of born-agains who insist it's the way we're "supposed" to eat.
Where are these dietary born-agains? Because I've been on a few paleo/primal threads in the last few days (which you've been on as well) and haven't seen one yet. You and others keep mentioning as the basis for your ire, but I haven't seen one yet. The only bad behavior I've seen is from certain paleo/primal bashers.0 -
People disagree with you = fear mongering? That's all I've seen, and the hyperbole has wholly been on your side of the fence.
Nope. I accuse people who spit out theories that foods are harmful but can't back those up with science of fear mongering.
No hyperbole whatsoever.
You definitly don't want my opinion of biologists who boast their credentials then quote blog posts as scientific evidence. You wouldn't like it.
Even if those blogs and books do a decent job of gathering and citing the underlying, supporting scientific studies? No, that wouldn't make sense at all. How terribly logical and convenient.
So far, you've given me very little reason to value your opinion, so I don't really care what it is either way. And, my degrees will still be there despite your opinion of it.
It's too bad you don't value my opinion in that regard. You'd seem much more credible if you took my advice.
But hey, you have your degrees, so there's that, right?
Credibility by people who have shown no ability to intelligently discuss the processes at hand don't mean much. Some folks here, on both sides of the equation, have been actually able to discuss and debate the underlying science. People like you have not added to that discussion.
And, yeah, I'll take my degrees from top 10 institutions any day over the week over opinions like yours. Easy choice.
LOLZ …posting your supposed credentials when there is no way to verify them just makes you look petty …did those top ten institutions teach you to use makes daily apple for your research?
I am still waiting for the studies that you mentioned...
And I told you where you can find them. You choose not to do so, that's on you.
so you are sticking with marks daily apple? Because that is the only one I have seen….0 -

lindsey, for starters.
No, I haven't. Not once. Not even close. But, I know you're a fan of making up facts, misrepresenting other's statements and presenting false assertions.0 -
