Kind of in awe/disbelief at people who seem to be managing on less than their BMR. I am definitely at goal (or more, everyday) and on a downward trend. I try to cook as much as possible and would like to do a better job of hitting my macros. Feel free to add me!0

I eat a lot. I don't let a diet scare me away from eating. Had a 1200 calorie steak last night; no regrets. I eat whatever and don't harass people about what they eat. Add me if you want.0

Hey there! I eat also. I, too, don't get how people can eat 1000 cal or less a day. I am 39 and used MFPs questionnaire to determine my calorie goals (I believe it's set for 1lb loss per week). Most days I eat every calorie (and sometimes more). I also use MFPs exercise logging and eat those calories back also. This is my second time with MFP and doing this worked the first time, so I'm trusting it again. I've been back at it for almost two weeks and have lost 2lbs so far.
I try to eat foods I've cooked myself and limit eating out. There are certain foods that I've decided to eliminate or limit in my diet (nutritional diet, not weight lot diet) and its' easier to cook my own than deal with restaurants.
Feel free to add me if you wish! I try to get to the message boards every day but I'm no always able. Love the MFP app for my phone so I can log anywhere!

Edited to add: I am also trying to avoid the artificial sweeteners. One gives me migraines, and I figure the rest can't be all that good for me either. I much prefer less real sugar.0 -
I eat AND cook! Sometimes crap foods, but you know, crap happens.
I do my very best to make real food real delicious every night, and will usually cheerfully share recipes if asked. :happy:0 -

Had to do the same thing! I couldn't stop myself from lecturing them! and then it occurred to me I'm probably just annoying them... they're annoying me... and that their bad eating habits WILL catch up to them eventually. If not now, definitely when they've got amenorrhea, osteoporosis and gain weight on tiny amounts when they're older...
So, I definitely eat. And when I have to take a shot in the dark at my amounts, I will even UNDER estimate, just to make sure I'm meeting my calories so my log may not technically reflect it (seeing as I'm already at the lower end of the BMI chart, I benefit more being over IRL than under.)
But I eat more substantial sugary chemically things than you (just fruit?!?) so you probably wouldn't want to add me...0 -
By looking at my calories, it wouldn't look like I eat a lot, but for someone averaging 1300 calories a day, I'm always pretty full! Three full meals, plus two to three snacks. I just fill up on veggies I guess!0

I started following this topic to find some friends who have healthy, balanced diets, that contain actual food. Here is my gripe / vent...
I'm having a difficult time connecting with MFP friends that actually make an effort to eat, and eat healthy throughout the day. I have noticed a trend in people congratulating others for finishing their diary for the day, under their goal, but when you look at what they ate, it was like an oatmeal packet for breakfast, no snacks, no lunch, zero vegetables and fruits, and then a bucket of chicken for dinner. Ya, they were under their goal, had a deficit, and are probably going to lose something, but that's not eating! I am in no position to judge, and don't want to, but I can't be excited for someone and encourage them to keep doing what they are doing just because they are eating at a deficit and losing.
I seriously need someone to commiserate with. I'm trying really hard to eat right all day...and not cram all my calories into one meal. Maybe I'M doing it wrong! My diary is open. Someone please correct me if I am doing something wrong, or missing the point. I know the arguments about a calorie is a calorie, IIFYM, etc.

I love eating or I wouldnt be on this site LOL... Seriously though, I have more fun creating my favorite meals and making them meet my daily calorie goals. To me that's the fun part of it... If you need another friend please add me. I need active friends, the ones I have are not updating and haven't logged in. Time to clean out my list0

I eat anywhere from 1200 - 2200 calories per day depending on my mood, hunger and activity for the day. (:0

I eat about 1200-1300 NET calories a day (I usually eat back a portion of my exercise calories), but I really do feel satisfied eating that amount because it's mostly made up of veggies, fruit, lean meat, and grains, which keep me full for hours--I NEVER starve myself and I have a healthy emotional relationship with my food consumption (no emotional eating, but no guilt about the occasional slice of pizza either). And I get takeout or a restaurant meal about once a week.0

I have my goal set at 1425 and generally eat that amount or a little more. I eat when I am hungry and do not try to starve myself. And I do let myself have treats once in a while and am not afraid of eating at restaurants.
I also try to eat healthy with minimal packaged foods and only rarely have snacks and cakes/cookies/etc. No fast food except for the occasional Chick-Fil-A breakfast. (Last time for that was probably in December.)

YAY For GF! I made the huge mistake of replacing all my avoid foods with gluten free alternatives and it bit me in the *kitten* after my first year of avoid / weight loss. Back now to try and find the right balance. Not vegan...but mostly dairy / egg free.0
