what's your weekday go-to breakfast?

Usually a smoothie (I have over a dozen different variations so I don't always have the same one), cottage cheese with fresh blueberries, or if I'm not really hungry, a protein shake with maca root powder.0

Sub! I'm in a breakfast ditch0

EVERY morning (yes I know I'm flexible lol) >>> 1/2 cup oats cooked with water
With a mixture of any of the following toppings or accompaniments :
- Almonds
- cocoa powder
- honey
- stevia
- ground cinnamon
- ground ginger
- a piece of fruit (usually pear, banana or clementine)
- 1/2 cup semi skimmed milk (to drink)
Actually I pretty much had all of those this morning except the cocoa powder XD0 -
Protein shake, I have several kinds I make. Basics I use are banana, soy milk, frozen fruit, ground flax seed, cinnamon and whey powder.0

Easy no measuring breakfast:
handfull or so of oats (around a 1/4-1/2 cup oats, but who measures these things?)
bout 10 or so raisins
bout 1/2-2/3 cup of Almond Breeze Vanilla low sugar almond milk!
Zap it for 3 minutes ( i usually pack my lunch during this 3 minutes) and boom!0 -
Right now it's 6 oz chicken breast, 4 cherry tomatoes, 1 cup spinach, 2 to 3 eggs and some crushed dried chill. As well as a coffee or tea because I feel bad for anyone who has to deal with me before I've had caffine....0

One slice whole wheat toast topped with 2 wedges of laughing cow light cheese, and 1/4 cup egg whites poached in the microwave with salt and pepper, fruit on the side.
The toast, cheese and egg combo is surprisingly delicious, and satiating at approx 190 cals. Add your fruit of choice and it is still quite resonable in the calorie department.0 -
Coffee. Bad habit. I was doing well with eating breakfast but got back into the routine of skipping it. Lots of great ideas!0

Quick chilaquiles. 2 corn tortillas cut or ripped in small pieces sauteed with cooking spray for a minute, then add a couple tablespoons of salsa (either red or green), scramble in one or two eggs (or whites) and when cooked add a pinch of shredded cheese. Yummy!
I have done this in the microwave as well just adding all but the cheese and cook about a minute mix, add cheese and cook 15 seconds more.0 -

Lots of great ideas here! Lately i've been doing a cup of oatmeal with a whole banana mashed into it while it's cooking on the stove. When I take it off the stove, I add lots of cinnamon and will sometimes add a bit of coconut water. Other times i'll have 2 eggs (scrambled or hard boiled) with sauteed spinach or kale. Recently started having 6-8 oz of plain greek yogurt with fresh chopped strawberries and cinnamon.0

I have been making mini omlettes.
Makes 8 mini omlettes:
5 eggs
dash of semi skimmed milk
1 red pepper
handful of spinach
1 red onion
30g of half fat low fat cheese
Fry the veg in low cal spray, then add to the egg and milk mixture. Then spread between 8 muffin cases, then top with a little cheese. Bake in the oven for 20mins at 200C.
They are great- 2 mini omelettes will do each day for breakfast- just heat them up in the microwave for a minute.
Roughly around 83 cal0 -
Plot twist: I don't eat breakfast.
But if I did, it'd be warm oatmeal with Stevia or drenched in chocolate syrup.0 -
3 bacon, 3 eggs and coffee with coconut oil. Sets me up for the day0
-
oatmeal (instant, quick or rolled) mixed with
chia seeds
flax seeds
pumpkin seeds
dried fruit
stuff I sometimes put in
brown sugar
sesame seeds
between 3-400 calories depending on what I put into it and how much. I also add a ton of water. Been eating it every day for a while now and LOVE it. Plus it's super easy to heat up at work and eat once I get there.0 -
