I don't know how u guys find time to cook, but between my 8hrs at work, 9 hrs of sleep, 1.5 hrs at gym, 2 hrs commuting, 1 hour meal planning and logging, .5hr showering/grooming and 2 hrs of videogame time , i don't have time to cook.

I'm a 30 minute (usually less than that) kind of cooker/meal preparer. If it takes more than that I'm not doing it during the work week! Just cooking for myself though, so it's probably easier than having to cook for a family. I do a little weekly cooking on the weekend though and that helps outs during the busier work week. 9 hrs of sleep is impressive! I wished I could sleep like that!

I dont video game unfortunately because I require better food and better sleep. I am not single and actually married and a caregiver and 7 hours is a must !!! IF not more! I also am starting classes zoo and work on weekends so hubby trys to cook and if we want a good dinner twice a month then i will make us some brisket, curry or whatever my tummy craves homemade as I love to cook and bake and am damn good at it HAHA ;)

Vietnamese Spring Rolls with barbeque chicken. Peanut dipping sauce. I asked for no shrimp, but they forgot! Had to pick them out. Can't stand shrimp.

Sorry for posting so much all the sudden :embarassed:  Post workout meal ='s Kraft mac n cheese with 1 hebrew national all beef hotdog and Caribbean coconut gelato (Telanti) 1/4 2%milk and 1 tbs of unsalted butter for the entire prep. I hate margarine. Babcia used to use it but eventually stopped thank God. Butter reigns supreme for meh-and organic butter is the best but we can't afford that yet.) :)

Went out tonight...and got Perogie Poutine with duck gravy.

    Heaven on a plate.

Eta: I re-sized it but it doesn't seem to want to cooperate.

Did I hear and see perigees? I hear my name being called haha. Polish woman here and I have my babcias perogi recipe. I am a MAJOR perigee SNOB. I say that with pride-my brother and I both do-our babcias are best hands down. I eat the filling on its own when it is being prepared its so frikken good. but calories yeah its no joke there. You might as well throw the week out the window lol. you can't make just one. when you make perogies, you make a whole big batch lol they are freezable but i mean why? :)

Mmmmmm poutine. Never heard of perogie poutine, looks delish!

These I got at a Vietnamese restaurant. I love that they aren't fried. They are meant as an appetizer, but I often order them as my entree.I have made them a couple times. The trick is getting a nice tight roll on them so the contents don't fall out when you eat them. I used this demo on YouTube, https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=related&v=0STo1mKpQSg, when I was learning to make them. She used jicama and shrimp in her demo, but I prefer to use sprouts and chicken, but whatever you like.

Customer provided food tonight. Ham, chicken, chicken, potato salad, pasta salad, green beans and potatoes and collard greens. It topped 1300 calories, so I'll be walking for a while.

    Larro...your meal looks incredible!

Tonight I just heated a couple corn tortillas with roasted turkey and provolone cheese. Side of cottage cheese and watermelon.

I like the contrast and simplicity of your photos. Mine are often so crowded it is hard to tell what is what.

I wish I had ate light like you. I had a black couple doing a 40 year renewal of their wedding vows at work tonight, and they loaded me up with good southern food. They also brought me a full to-go plate that I haven't even opened. Lugging those tables and chair is easier without ten extra pounds of fried food in your stomach. Not to mention the slice of German chocolate cake I found in the fridge. I should have left it for tomorrow, but it looked too good.

Are those collard greens on your plate?? Gimme!! Especially if they had fatback in them! I miss good southern cooking. I would have hugged them for a plate of food like that. Yummy!!
I wolfed mine down too quickly to snap a pic tonight, but I just had jasmine rice with shredded beef brisket cooked in the crock pot for ten hours. So good!

The collard greens had ham hocks in them, not fat back. They were good, but would have been better if I had looked up my bottle of pepper sauce. I was hoping for more in the to-go box they sent home with me, but when I looked at it this morning, I saw it was baked mac and cheese, potato salad and baked chicken. Enough for a couple of meals. Can't complain about that.

    But for real

I'm planning on making beef sliders with pickle, tomato, lettuce and grilled onion, and steamed corn on the side. Raw carrot and celery sticks, and cherry tomatoes.

The george foreman grill lets me make mini meatballs then press them all down into mini sliders at once. I love the portion control, my son thinks they're mini burgers just for him, and my husband loves that its something other than chicken lol

Everything but the frozen veggies and the bread were leftovers tonight. It is good to take a break from cooking once in a while.

Baked chicken, pork chops, peas, sweet potato, mac and cheese, and {not pictured} potato salad.

Stir-fry veggies, green beans and pork chop.

I had two large carrots with hummus and then I wanted a slice of whole wheat batard with cheese so I had that too. Feeling satisfied. :)

Friday night on our camping trip we made pizzas over the grate on the open fire. Sacrificed 1.5 of them to charred crusts before finally getting it right on this Margherita pizza. The smoke really gave it great flavor though.

Last night I made Red Curry Coconut Peanut Chicken over basmati rice. I'm really proud of this one, because my kids actually ate it.

Ham and cheddar sandwich, baked chicken, mixed veggies and stir-fry, well mixed. Also had ice cream and other snacks trying to hit my calorie goal. Lift days are always a challenge to eat enough.

Whole grain pasta with ground turkey tomato sauce. I needed to make something quick and easy for the family after getting back from the gym at 6:45...the boys were hungry and cranky.

pork stir fry with peppers, onions and zucchini...no rice.....staying away from the carbs and grains.....little bit of low calorie salad dressing for the stir fry sauce, not cooking the pork in any oil either....

.....or maybe if I decide to be unmotivated I might just drink my dinner in the form of white wine....that works too.....:)
