    The Quilter's Club had their monthly birthday party tonight. I had supper thanks to them. Pulled pork, cornbread, zuccini, tomato and rice, shrimp and rice, half a slice of ham and pineapple pizza and a salad.

    Cucumber and onion salad, celery, pineapple and grapes.

    The quilters had tons of desserts, but I only had a serving of my new Greek white chocolate pudding. {I have to be careful. A fellow could throw his shoulder out patting himself on the back so}

    The Civic Center was a polling place today. The poll worker ladies were nice enough to let me eat some of their goodies. Pulled pork sandwich, Italian potato salad, slaw, stir-fry and green bean salad.

    I didn't have supper last night. I had a late dinner that was past noon(it was 4). Was going to eat supper 'round10 last night, but I was still in bed nursing a carb coma. I just barely got up.

    I have no idea what's for supper this evening.

    Taco potluck at work. My contributions are tilapia ceviche, roasted peppers, a lemon buttermilk pie, and some INSANELY good carnitas I just made. Like holy mother of nom, I can't believe how good they are.

    I have no clue what's for supper tonight. I had a late dinner(3 in the afternoon), so it may be a late supper for me.

    Margie picked up ribs on her way home. I fixed green bean, stir-fry veggies, corn and sweet potato slices to go with it. Yum.

    I had a few Scuppernong grapes a friend brought us. His vines are always loaded this time of year. After supper we got out and picked a few of the wild Scuppernongs growing on Mocha's {my chocolate lab} fence, and it was not the same.

    I didn't have supper last night. I'm not even hungry right now to try and make up for it.

    I have no idea what's on the menu for tonight(I will plan that one later when I get my dry erase board up on the wall).

    Tasty vegetarian tortellini. All it is, is tortellini with a little salt and a can of green beans. I was going to put some ground beef in it, but I was feeling unwell when I started cooking, so I decided it best to leave it out this time.

    I had book club last night and our hostess had a themed dinner. We read a book about a teenager on trial for murder, so her theme was Guilty or Innocent.

    Her menu:
    Appetizers - cheese board, salami, crackers along with hummus and vegetables
    Main - beer can chicken, cheesy potatoes and kale/quinoa salad
    Dessert - devils food cake with caramel gelato and homemade hot fudge sauce or angel food cake with cool whip and berries
    Lots and Lots of wine.

    The picture doesn't really do her dessert justice. It was amazing. I tried all the food - guilty AND innocent. I felt like it was a microcosm of the Clean Eating vs IIFYM debates we have on here all the time...

    We went to Beef Obrady's. It was good, but it feels like a ton of bricks sitting in my stomach now. I had the 1/2 Cuban and French Onion soup, some Garlic Parm boneless wings, and {not pictured} three of Margie's curly fries. {I started eating before I thought of pictures. The soup looked much better before that}

    No photos as it's not done yet, but we're braising beef short ribs with a nice spice rub and… basically whatever fresh veggies were in the fridge, so zucchini, onions, celery, carrots, and some mixed braising greens (mostly kale), plus the nice local tomatoes that were closest to going bad from the bowl on the counter, and some beef broth. No extra fat - sautéed the onions in the fat left behind from browning the ribs.

    Dunno about sides yet - there's some leftover quinoa in the fridge, or there's some homemade whole-grain bread (though I've had plenty of that today), or I might just eat half the pot with no accompaniment.

    I had a family reunion at work, and had way too much lunch. So the plan was for a light supper. I had bought a new kind of roll and sliced one of them for a sandwich. It was ham and turkey cold cuts, and fried chicken breast and baked ham, with Colby Jack cheese, tomato and onion. Also had green beans and stir-fry veggies. It was bigger than I thought it would be, but very good.

    10494704_801657493212709_4070206311313554144_n.jpg?oh=766b9819eb4440942118c965a9ee8d94&oe=5464567B

    And even though I had to get back on the stationary bike and Gazelle after supper to pay for it, I had ice cream and some of the Greek cheesecake pudding. It was worth the extra work.
