So it seems that a high protein, low fat, low carb diet can really work a number on a person's digestive system. Might you suggest the crème de la crème of laxatives? Also...might anyone have any good reading material?

Mag citrate.
Back in my nursing days, the nurse before me gave a 90 year old bed ridden patient a whole bottle of this 20 minutes before I came on shift. *shudder*0 -
Wal-mart grab yourself a bottle of Equate brand Magnesium Citrate. Comes in Cherry and Lemon. Drink the entire bottle within a half hour and you'll be all nice and cleaned out by morning. :-)0

Taco Bell with Ghost Pepper Sauce (provided by yourself).0

Just go straight to suppositories.....ask your interns where to get them and ask for help with the deposit.0

Take a look at your fiber intake. May not be the perfect solution, but I started a fiber supplement a few weeks ago and it fixed everything right up.0

MiraLax - dissolves in water easily and has little or no taste. I fill the top to the bottle 3/4 full and mix in my morning coffee. It works quick but it's gentle and leaves a well formed t**d. Wal-Mart has an equivalent that uses the Equate label.0

I can relate! Too much protein can feel like you're passing a studded football.... sideways.
MiraLax is gentle, the magnesium stuff will cause your *kitten* to explode....like a firehose; if you don't mind cleaning your toilet bowl everytime you have to poo, then try the magnesium, otherwise, MiraLax is what I use.0 -

Mira in Spanish means look. I don't like the thought of someone looking at Mt. St. Adonis exploding.0 -
Wouldn't this be a pretty significant sign that your diet is not ideal?0
