Where does "Tall" start?

Haha maybe because I'm "tall" it's skewed but 6'2" for a guy and 5'10" for a woman in my opinion...0
-
I'm 5'8 1/2 and have always been referred to as "tall", so I'm going with anyone over 5'8 for women and for the men, any over 6'.0
-
I'm about 5'7 1/2 and I constantly get called short at Volleyball (but I can still block on a guy's regulation height net).... But then at work -I'm called tall because most my coworkers (mostly women) are about 5'3 or 5'2
So, it also depends on whom you're surrounded by - basketball, volleyball players or non - sports people :-D0 -
Im 6'1 and so are all the other guys around me. I don't see many short ppl around here anyways.
(also 6'1 is considered average height)0 -
Tall starts where short ends0

6'10' women, 6'3" men. Anybody under can't ride my roller coaster unless they have heels on...0

Funny. Because I'm 5'6" and have always been called tall. I guess it depends on your vantage point.0

6"10" women! That is tall.0 -
I'm 5'8" and have always been told I'm tall.
I think 5'8" for women and 6' for men.0 -

I think 5'8" for women and 6' for men.
I have to agree with this.0 -
I am 5'8" and I am almost always taller than other women I'm around, friends, family, coworkers, etc. But I don't feel legitimately like a "tall woman" to me that's 5'10" and up, the women who need tall pants for example (I have worn them but don't generally have to go for tall sizing).
For men I don't really know. I guess over 6 ft? My husband is around 6'2" and would definitely count as tall. I think this is actually kind of skewed because most men I have known who are under 6' but not "short" - let's say 5'9-5'11 - usually say they are 6 ft. haha0 -
I am 5'8" and I was always considered tall.. I think woman's average height is 5'4"?0
-
I'm 5'0. Everyone else looks tall.0
-
Average height (ask.com) for men 5'9", for women 5'4" - sounds kinda puny to me... I'd say women 5'8" + and men 6' + could be considered tall.0
-
Any height above whatever the average is is consider tall.0

6"10" women! That is tall.
Lots of leg room on my roller coaster. We tall people need some perks!0 -
I'm 5'9, but maybe I'm a bit more forgiving. For women, I'm thinking 5'7", and for men, 6'0.0

6'10' women, 6'3" men. Anybody under can't ride my roller coaster unless they have heels on...
Damn. And I thought I was tall at 6'1"! LOL0 -
I don't know. I can't see it from down here.0

I'm 6'1" and so a man 6' or shorter gets called shorty by me. "Tall" for men from my vantage point starts at 6'4". I rarely if ever see women even close to my height, so I go by the average woman being approximately 5'6", so anything maybe 2 inches taller would be tall?
I realize that for men, the average is 5'10", so by the same principle I use for women, tall men would start at 6'. But that's so short!0 -

Being only 5'0, I'd say tall for a girl starts at 5'6. For a guy, like 5'11.0
-
I'm tall. In spirit0
-
Well, I am 5'0, so my view may be tinted, but if I'm describing a woman to someone else, I'd probably call her tall if she's 5'7 or taller. For men, probably 6'0+. I have a friend who is 6'4. I call him super tall. I also think physique has a lot to do with the appearance of height. If you're really skinny, you'll look taller than you are and vice versa. One of my best friends from childhood is only 5'6, but I've always thought of her as being tall because she's so thin.
On a related note, I learned fairly recently that only 15% of men in the U.S. are 6'0 or taller. So all the single ladies who insist on dating men who are taller than 6'0 ... good luck with that. (I know, I'm a shortcake, easy for me to say.)0 -

Damn. And I thought I was tall at 6'1"! LOL
Even in the 4" heels I'm wearing today, I'm STILL short by your standards!
love it!0 -
I'm 5'9" and always wear 3-4" heals. I figure why not? I feel confident. If someone feels I'm too tall, that's there problem, not mine. I feel statuesque and model-like. ????0

I'm 5'11" I'd say tall starts at 6'1" for men, probably 5'8" for women.
Side note: I've long observed two things about women and height. 1) Women don't want to be seen with a man who is less tall than she is, even if he's not really short. When I see a 6'2" woman, she is always with a man 6'3" or taller. 2) This seems to matter more to women than to men. Am I wrong?0 -
I'm 5'0. So, anyone over 5'1"0
