Durianrider injecting himself with B12? Says who?
Do you even read, bro?
Matter of fact I just finished reading The China Study. Great book! Bill Clinton lost 24 lbs and is doing a lot better from his heart disease thanks to that information.
Except Clinton eats salmon and eggs every week. He's admitted as much. Not vegan.
Even if he 'rarely' eats fish, by vegan standards it makes him a carnivore. So he's still not a vegan OR vegetarian because he eats delicious animal flesh.
Unfortunately he hasn't been able to quit some of his bad habits cold turkey. But like he says, he's doing better because he's eating as close to a vegan diet as he possibly can.0 -

Eating meat.... not a bad habit- he's doing better because he eats at a calorie deficit.
I am SO in on this thread- the epic smack down is really making my day.0 -

Ever notice BOTH the raw-vegan camps and the paleo/primal camps can find similar health gains (although the raw-vegans are deficient unless they supplement) ... and both have a single common denominator - the diets both eliminate refined/processed carbohydrate and include an abundance of fresh, whole foods..
The enemy obviously isn't meat when everybody universally improves health with eliminating refined/processed carbohydrate and other processed foods.0 -

This.
I think it's cute that there are people in the world who think that, "Bill Clinton says he's healthier because he's semi-Vegan!" is science, or even reality. It's right up there with thinking that you're healthy because you believe in God.
But as a librarian, it also makes me sad. Information Literacy really needs to be taught to children. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Information_literacy0 -

It not that he considers it a bad habit.
BRB, what does your reference point, this non-vegan vegan actually say?Bill Clinton claims to be a vegan but admits to eating salmon and ... he claims is necessary to "maintain iron, zinc and muscle mass...
Woops. Your vegan spokesperson says that eating non-veg*n is necessary for health reasons. Now, he not quite right about that but I certainly wouldn't be bringing him up as the reference for veganism.
I'd try to get another idol.
You know what helped his case? Losing weight. Oh, and that little thing called surgery.
You know .... quadruple coronary artery bypass surgery. His disease was "reversed", he was operated on.0 -

made a few improvements here0
