It's like either way I go I cant win.
He cant use condoms, we tried. He literally cant keep it up. He cant feel anything through them and I even made sure they were the "barely there" thin condoms.
Oldest trick in the book. Almost as good as "just the tip". I think I called bs on this one when I was 17. Lay down the law with him. And since you mentioned that he's not even your boyfriend, you just might want to get yourself tested. Planned Parenthood is your friend.0 -
Oh my god girl, no you didn't.0

I vote you try it in the pooper instead. Or is that what everyone meant by plan A?0

If he's having sex with you it doesn't matter if he's your husband, boyfriend, friend with benefits, random person that you had a one night stand with just because, birth control is 50% his responsibility. If he's telling you that it's not, then that's a red flag. If these 3 other kids he's got were from unplanned pregnancies then that's another red flag. And him paying for you to have tons of hormones pumped through your system on a regular basis when you're sensitive to hormones and have been advised by doctors not to use hormonal birth control, that's another red flag.
Seriously, responsible men who care about the women they have sex with don't do these things. Even if it's a random hook up or friends with benefits kind of relationship, he should still care enough about your welfare to use a form of birth control that's not going to harm you or leave you at risk of unwanted pregnancy.0 -
He cant keep it up with condoms, We tried.
** CENSORED ***
Sorry about your sex life, OP.
This is what I was thinking.0 -
If the doctors are afraid of you putting so many hormones in your body -- aren't they afraid of the overuse of Plan B pills? Nuvaring goes in vaginally so all the medicine stays right there - doesn't go into your blood stream and make you gain weight, have side effects, etc. I've been on it for years and I love it.
Also...planned parenthood goes by your income. If you have no insurance or short on money, they will give you it for free.
Just check it out ---- I'm not judging you at all but just saying, you should like you don't want to get pregnant - so don't!0 -
LOL he already has 3. I dont think a baby really makes him lose the desire to keep having sex.
Then let's try doing a child support calculator.
If this guy is not your boyfriend but wants to have sex with you and you cannot afford contraception, make him bring the sponge, foam, film, or magic no-baby spray as an entry fee.
This is all good advice, minus the spray. Sprays come out of the can really friggin cold. Dude's got plumbing issues already, adding shrinkage to the mix is no good.0 -
Please don't procreate.0

I was actually just thinking this.
Have some respect for yourself, OP. Cut this guy off!0 -

Girl. Condoms.

I seriously cant go to a doctor right now.
People clearly dont read. I'm uninsured, I'm unemployed. I don't pay for the plan b, he does.
He's not my boyfriend so regular birth control is not his responsibility.
His only concern is keeping himself from having a fourth kid.
He cant keep it up with condoms, We tried.
Since you guys seem so much more focused on what im doing in my bedroom which was not the question i asked.
IS WEIGHT GAIN A POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECT FROM THAT MANY HORMONES?!
Or is it the training?
Thats all i asked, that's all you ****ers need to be focusing on.
There are so many wrong things with this whole post. This is why there should be a test before people can reproduce. I can't believe you have had to take Plan B 5 times for a random hook up, who already has several kids. This is just what stupid is unfortunately. LIke somebody would rather bring a kid into this world while unemployed, to somebody they don't plan on ever being with rather, than just not have sex or find somebody who would use condoms. Can't wait to pay for your 12 kids from 7 guys.0 -
Most likely water retention (in your muscles, or caused by hormones) or you are eating more than you think.
Please do something to address why you have taken Plan B so much recently. I am actually surprised you were able to get it that often from a doctor. It wreaks havoc on your body doing that, and there are much better, safer, more reliable forms of birth control.
A world's worth of THIS.
Plan B is for the occasional slip up- NOT a contingency plan.
If you don't want to go on birth control (which I get- I don't take it because I've had some pretty adverse side effects), use a condom (they make both male and female varieties). Or check with your doctor about an IUD- they have programs that will subsidize the cost for certain individuals.
Be safe. Have fun, but be safe.
I WANT the IUD so bad!! but my doctor REFUSES to give me one because I havent had kids yet and it can rupture the uterus and render me infertile.
It's like either way I go I cant win.
He cant use condoms, we tried. He literally cant keep it up. He cant feel anything through them and I even made sure they were the "barely there" thin condoms.
I cant do birth control because of hormones
and I cant get the IUD because I dont have kids.
im being screwed over everywhere and cant really get my body to ever do what I want.
That is not true. She hasn't spoken with a doctor.0 -
You do realize that Plan B is highly concentrated hormones of which you say you just CAN NOT take at a much lower dose regularly. For you to then be here wondering about your weight gain is beyond my understanding knowing these things. Family Planning options are available and FREE.... and if he wants sex, he should pay for regular birth control (but why you are having unprotected sex with a "buddy" is beyond me) There are diseases that AJAX can't wash off.
and there is a new IUD, Skyla, for women who have not had children. Please look into it ASAP.0 -
OP no one can give you a real answer becasue there isnt really any good research on someone who uses Plan B as a method of birthcontrol. Several women have suggested some of the side effects as a ONE time user... so truly who knows what is going on with your body right now?
Try drinking the water like the guys said.. monitor your cals.. etc.
STOP having sex so you DON'T have to use Plan B (since you say this is all you can use) and maybe your body will level out and all your hard work will show up on the scale like you want.
Best of Luck to you.0 -

responsible sex takes a level of maturity that i think you have yet to reach.
lol @ name calling. well done.
hence why im pissed.
if I had made a "how likely am I to get pregnant" or a "what kind of birth control should i use" thread, these responses would have been valid. however this thread was created for the only reason of addressing why im gaining weight instead of losing when ive practically doubled my routine.
FOCUS or GTFO
But, it is the question at hand.
1) Get a job.
2) It is our business, because we, the taxpayers, will be paying for your kid when you're on Welfare.
3) You can get an IUD without having had kids. I have one.
4) If you can't afford to go to the doctor, how does your doctor keep telling you you can't have BC?
5) There are many different types of pills out there. Find one that works.
6) According to your ticker, you are no where near being so overweight that a doctor wouldn't give you BC due to *possible* weight gain.
7) Find a different doctor.
8) Stop having unprotected sex. He's not your boyfriend, therefore you're not in a committed relationship. One of these days, you're going to catch something you can't wash off.0 -
Regardless of the weight loss/gain issue, I would be remiss not to suggest considering a Plan A... I don't think Plan B is meant to be taken so often but only as an emergency. Have you considered a more permanent method that is workable for you?0

^^^^Test, test, test, test, test.....completely agree and have been saying it for years!0 -
Same happened to me. I was working out and gaining weight and then after some time it stopped and I was down my first ten. Don't give up.0
-
Two: weight training every day is not recommended especially if it's a total body workout. You need to give yourself at LEAST 24 hours between working the same muscle groups to allow them to repair themselves. If you don't give them the rest and recovery that they need you'll keep holding onto water, and may eventually wind up with not only weight gain but an injury to boot.
I just want to point out that if you work them out everyday, and you hit the gym at the same time everyday, technically you have been 24 hours out.
I agree with the sentiment: You need to rest a muscle group. I just don't agree with the time frame.0 -

If you are uninsured, Planned Parenthood, or other similar clinics, will most likely offer you some birth control options for free or very, very low cost. I used them for years when I first got out of college because I was uninsured.
Also, you can get the IUD if you haven't have kids. I have one, and I don't have children. (For the same reasons as you, I cannot tolerate hormonal birth control). Find a doctor/midwife/RN someone who understands them, and they will gladly help you out.0 -
at the moment, im uninsured and cant afford birth control
Here's a thought: stop having sex. If you can't afford birth control, you can't afford to be pregnant either.
That's why she's taking the plan B. Duh?0 -

Wait, your doctor won't give you birth control because you have not yet had kids? Is he fcking retarded?? You def need a new doctor who does not want to see an unplanned pregnancy... unless you're one of those females secretly hoping to get pregnant in order to "ensure" your current relationship (that never ever works btw). I agree with not using an IUD, but there is this thing called a diaphragm. As far as him not wanting to wear condoms because he loses his erection... bullsht. My bf said the same thing when we first started dating so I told him that was fine we just won't have sex then. Ever. He got use to those condoms pretty damn quick.
It's just my opinion, but I have heard all the anti-BC excuses you've given from females just dying to get pregnant.0 -

There are plenty of ways to get contraceptives without being insured or having an income. Really, it's 2014. You obviously have access to the internet. Do some research. Also, you're "doctor" is concerned about the hormones causing weight gain? You've just introduced close to a year's worth of contraceptive use into your body with that much Plan B. You're asking about a three pound gain after you've upped exercise. Like everyone else said, your muscles are retaining water.
But seriously, your logic for not taking hormonal BC is totally screwed to begin with, then further screwed by your willingness to take Plan B multiple times a month. You need to find a planned parenthood. Monthly BC is far cheaper than monthly Plan B.0 -

Here's a thought: CLOSE YOUR LEGS! I can't tell if you are really this stupid, or if you are just trolling? Of course Plan B is going to make your hormones go crazy. Are you taking it every time you have sex?
Next question, do you have a cell phone? Ditch it. You'll have plenty of money left over to pay for birth control.
If you are too stupid to figure out the use of a condom or regular birth control... PLEASE DO NOT REPRODUCE! We already have enough idiots having children in this world. We don't need another.0
