A lot of people suggest strength training but even most of those don't say it is all you need.
All you need is a calorie deficit to lose weight. Exercise (either weights or cardio) has other benefits and can help create a deficit, but you can create one even without it.
If eating "cleaner" leads to you consuming less calories than your body needs then you will lose weight. Walking is a fine exercise
I understand all that but I'm not looking at calorie counting or deficits anymore. I'm looking towards eating raw foods and meat and doing walking and seeing how I go with that.
And as I said, if that diet change ends up with you consuming less calories than your body needs you will lose weight. If you eat too many calories "clean" food, you will not lose weight. It is not dependant on calorie counting. Calorie counting ensures that you are in a deficit, but there are other ways to achieve that. Many people see results on restrictive diets because they eliminate the type of food we tend to overeat, resulting in us having a deficit. We just didn't count the calories to get there. Unfortunately that doesn't work all the time, some people will replace the foods they over ate before with new foods that they are allowed ot eat.
I'm fully aware that eating too many clean foods can also make you gain weight and that eating less than 1200 calories is bad for your body but if I'm having regular size portions and healthy snacks in between I don't think I'll have to worry. I'm not dieting, I'm trying a new lifestyle. If my body gives me signs of needing to eat more or eat less than I'll know to do so.
Then I guess I don't know what the question is.
Agreed. Kind of not seeing what the point of this was since it ended up where it has.0 -

Because the question wasn't purely focused on food. If you read the other comments I said that I originally was going to ask purely about walking but food is also apart of the equation so I added it in. I was curious to see how much people have lost from walking.0 -
I did just that for a couple of months and I lost 6kg in 12 weeks. I do around 10000+ steps a day (I have got the fitbit one pedometer) by walking my dogs and I eat "as healthy as possible. Lately I have started with cardio and weights.
