Have you (can you) lose weight in your nose?

no.
^What about his?
You just see it differently. Noses do not collect fat like the rest of the body. I've still got my nose and my huge dumbo ears and unless they're trimmed by a certified surgeon/some sort of body modification/an accident, they will remain the same.
*shrugs* I didn't say the actual NOSE changed, but that the fat on my face AROUND my nose made the difference. Go to the thread on 'drastic face changes after weight loss' on here and you can see what I mean. I don't think my actual nose changed -- I think it just looked bulbous before and now doesn't because of the shift in my weight. Of course, angle can play a part -- especially in non-planned photos. But I think it may also depend on your face shape and body shape. I'm overall an hourglass so when I put on weight, I put it on all over. I have friends with other builds and even though they may go up 25lbs, their face stays the same. I still have a round/button style nose, but it looks so much better. But for a long time when I was heavy, I thought I was stuck with it. Let me see if I can find and post a pic of what I'm talking about.
If that worked, you can see what I mean. When I was in the 220's, my cheeks were much rounder and full pushing fat up around my nose making the bridge area look wider... which to me made my whole nose look bigger. The next pic is more current... I was in the low 180's there (I'm in the 170's now). I think my nose looks MUCH smaller and better suits my face!
I think that is such a perfect example!! You look wonderful!
:blushing: Thanks! I really hated it all swollen and bulbous! And for whatever reason when I was heavier, I never associated it with being fat over all. But when I started losing and seeing pics, I was like OH WOW! I never realized I had dimples, either. Makes you realize how little you pay attention to yourself at times!0 -

True, could be differant angles, but something tells me you can lose weight in your nose…. maybe it just depends on genetics or something.
People are telling you no but "something is telling you, you can lose weight in your nose"...so why bother asking? :laugh:0 -
This woman put a barbell through her nose. Ignore the mustache

I just googled it (if your nose can get smaller, NOT nose exercises lol), and it turns out that your nose can swell from weight gain. Also, if you have chubby cheeks it can push your nose out more.
Some people have said that their nose looks bigger, but I think it all depends on your face shape. If you have a slim face to begin with and you lose weight your nose might appear bigger, but if you have a fatter nose, it might get slimmer around the bridge, therefore making it appear smaller…. if that makes sense.0 -

In my experience when you are on MFP you can lose weight in your nose.
Let's say you are drinking 6 oz of rum and coke when you read something funny and it comes out yer nose. YOU JUST LOST 6 ounces of wait! WTG! WooHoo..

If you want to spot reduce that area, balance a q-tip on the end of your nose and crinkle it. 3 sets of 12 reps. Total fat buster!
But won't that make my nose bulky?0 -
okay i googled it, apparetnly you can get results like this
by doing this exercise

ugh, actually the lady was pregnant, that's why her nose swelled. never mind that. BUT looking at Jewlz280's picture above, it's pretty convincing to me that your nose can get smaller after weight loss.0 -
What is happening here?

I just wanna ask what your goal is. Judging by your pics you look like you're at a pretty healthy weight and it doesn't seem like you'd lose much fat in your face to make your nose look bigger anyway...0

Well, this thread has made me gigglesnort over and over. Bravo to all of you for the ever helpful information! :laugh:0

Well the second pic in my profile is when I weighed around 130 (which is my goal). I weigh 170 now @ 5'7". lol0 -
Sometimes your nose gets fatter when you are pregnant, but that might just be swelling.0

Thanks! I really love it. This is the longest it has been in a long time and the color mix (Peacock Peek-a-boo) was something fun and different to do during the Winter for a little pick-me-up.0 -

Not trying to be weird… just wondering…. and thanks haha0 -
Your nose looks fine. You can't really lose weight/appearance from your nose, and not everyone loses weight from their face in the same way to alter the appearance of your nose.
Look into contouring with makeup. That can dramatically slim down the appearance of your nose. Not that I think you should; learning to love yourself is key, and your nose really does look fine. Not even objectively big, imo.
Buuut, contouring might help you feel more confident. Looks like you have a bit done in your profile pic? You can do it more dramatically, if that's the look you're going for.0
