    My husband however has given me strict instructions. I am to have him cremated, gather the ashes and spread them at the bottom of our grill. Invite everyone over for a memorial party. Serve requisite burgers and hot dogs and pick an opportune moment for this announcement:

    Yup, that's why we have to make the most of every day. Dump that loser, take that vacation, spend more time with family and friends etc.

    I know a snarky comment is expected but I offer my real thought on this instead take it as you will its my after life

    after your last breath
    you leave your body
    your spirit, soul, essence (whatever you call it)
    then transcends in a new dimension
    like waving your hand through a sheer window curtain
    you part the stars in the sky passing into this new world
    you are met by beings of light glowing and
    surrounded by unconditional love and are home
    your true home where you were originally born
    before you came to earth and there is no fear
    no hatred, no needs because you have all there is
    love which is pure truth so there can be nothing
    lacking, hence you are in heaven

    This. Don't worry about what happens when you're no longer here, you won't be here for it to affect you. You don't worry so much about what went on before you were here, so why worry about what's going to happen when you're not here again?

    On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero.

    seriously tho, cremation and scattered on my friends farm (I really hope it's still in the family or it's gonna be awkward)

    As you die, a massive dose of dimethyltryptamine is released into the brain. Time slows down and as you gain the knowledge of all things and experience ego death you realise that all reality is simply a unified whole expressed in dualistic terms. Your body dies and 'you' cease to exist.

    Nothing. I will be dead. The body my consciousness occupied will be cremated and maybe someday a few of the atoms that made up my body will become part of another being or maybe another star. From stardust to stardust. :-)
