My NSV is that I'm back! I lost 34 pounds a few years ago, and kept it off for about 6 years. Then I studidly thought I had everything under control. I stopped logging my food, thinking I knew exactly what I should and should not eat. That led to me beginning to ignore portion sizes, and then to not paying attention to my eating at all. Add to that the fact that I gradually gave up exercising, and here I am with 13 pounds to lose. I realize how much I need the discipline of logging and am ready to recommit to mfp. Oh, and I LOVE this thread--thanks for all the posts. It helps keep me motivated.37

I clipped my toenails without having to hold my breath the other day, first time I can remember that in a while...
Also I took back a tank top I had let my daughter borrow and it wasn't sausage-casing tight on me, so I wore it to the gym!
And I was able to turn down the greasy pizza and eat a healthy meal instead... and didn't feel like I was missing out.
I am celebrating small victories almost every day!35 -
I had an extremely stressful day on Sunday & stupidly went to the grocery store starving & stressed. I managed to peruse the Valentine Day candy aisle without buying anything!!31

So uhm I had a reason to review my nice underwear sets which have been gathering dust and realised most of the bras are way too big. I’m definitely due for an upgrade in that department but found one set that I feel good in.
Went online to do a measurement check and slightly put out that it now puts me in an A cup? On the other hand, maybe that means I can actually wear a push up bra...
I’ve also been working on my self confidence and body image and this morning I realised from the mirror that DAMN I have killer legs now. That running is really working, I look so strong 😍33 -

This saying resonates with me: "Exercise because you love your body, not because you hate it". Congrats on obviously loving your killer legs 🏃♀️♥️17 -
I bought a dress that I knew was too small for me, so it was going to be my goals dress. Tried it on the other day and it fits perfectly and looks damn good!37

I achieved a PR on both my flat and inclined bench press yesterday. Strength goals progressing nicely.22

I quit logging me calories for a few days but now I'm back! Thats a huge accomplishment for me!26

When alarm went off at 6, I got up after 1 snooze, went to basement & walked on treadmill. Had decided I wouldn't force it if I didn't want to go 3 miles. But once I got going it was a goal to reach. Very satisfying to finish in 53:30 then cool down. I feel so much happier this morning at work. I need to remember this, and how much my mood is improved by working out. I am grateful on these winter days of snow/ice covered roads and wind chills below zero that we have an old treadmill in the basement so that I can continue my walks. Still sad dog.26

Just checked and I'm on a 31 day streak! That's the longest I've ever kept up with logging daily.33

Officially scheduled my surgery for excess skin removal after a 114 pound loss! This has been something I've been dreaming of doing for so long and I finally decided that there is never going to be a perfect time and I'm going for it November 2021!33

I FINALLY did an unassisted dead hang pull-up!!! This was my goal for 2021.
The funny thing was, I wasn't even trying for this today as my focus this month is on improving my hip thrust and bench press numbers (pull-ups and squats were last month). I was just doing bottom-range pull-ups to maintain them, and this is where I get "stuck." This guy was cheering me on to do a full one and I tried to tell him I was just working on bottom range and wasn't there yet, but no one hears well with masks on. Finally, on the 3rd set he said "just try it," so I'm like wth and went for it....and did it! It wasn't pretty at all, but I got chin up above the bar!26 -

So exciting!

I have gotten clothing from Stitch Fix a couple times. Haven't worn anything from this last one except to try the clothes on last month when they arrived. I think it's time I officially changed sizes on my profile though because the pants they sent that had been quite snug are now super loose!15

I have been consistent with fasting, even when my day schedule got crazy and even when my dog died and I felt really lousy.37

Took several pair of too-big pants and jeans to the donation box yesterday. Also I tried on a sweater that used to be tight and it now fits perfectly.24

My feet and ankles have stopped swelling up during the day.

The blubber-glaciers are continuing to recede! I can actually see muscle groups in the upper parts of my legs, not just my calves. And I can see the veins in my left forearm not just my right! I'm actually really happy about this.
Still got the big jiggly belly, LOL18 -
I've been improving my eating, increasing my level of fitness, and I've seen enough gains that I no longer buy the lie that 'I'll just have one' or 'I'll start tomorrow'. That was without a doubt what held me back for so long.19

Does a 3.5 minute plank count? I'm working up to eventually holding one for 5 minutes.24

A couple years back, my wonderful sister surprised me with this gorgeous Kate Spade dress I'd been eyeing. Even then, while it fit, it was a tight fit. Then I ballooned up for a few years and it hung sadly in my closet. I am so happy and proud to say that I recently was able to wear it and not only did it fit / zip up, it was comfortable. I felt so confident and validated that my hard work really is paying off.32

Been working on balance because mine used to be terrible. I used to not be able to tie my shoes unless sitting. So I have been working on it. And now I am holding poses while the husband takes pics making me laugh the whole time 🤣

You inspired me - I anticipated having trouble getting to sleep and I saw your fantastic poses so I decided to do some stretching on the floor. I was more flexible than I've been since I was a kid (which still isn't very, but it's an improvement) and for the first time in a while felt truly good in my body and proud of what I could do. Just simple leg stretches, is all, nothing even very yogaish, but it still was great!
Yay for all my fellow Non Scale Victors! We can do it and we ARE doing it!
(Oh, and Jenilla1, a 3.5 minute plank is frickin' impressive. I can't even do 30 seconds yet of a full and proper plank.)

I’m wearing a pair of yoga pants I bought on sale years ago a size too small. They wouldn’t even go over my knees even though I was at an All Time Low when I bought them. I shrugged and resigned myself to the fact that they were the least stretchy toga pants on the world.
10 Kg below that and they fit great.19 -
Today I was given a t-shirt for a volunteer role I have taken up at my local university. It was the largest size that they had, and it is too small.
My NSVs are that 1) it is only one size too small, so will be tight but wearable, and 2) that I am not beating myself up over it.
I will fit it in a month or two, at my current rate. And in the meantime, my worth is not defined by a t-shirt ordering system that is designed for teenagers.34 -
Cycling VO2max of 45, the fitness age being 45 years lower than my chronological age I take with a grain of salt.

My smart watch strap is now on the 5th hole! When I first bought it, I was so discouraged because it barely fit on the first hole. 😁20

Holy cow Batman! This is impressive as hell! Good job!4 -
I have really stiff shoulders due to a combination of excess weight and a previous injury, so I usually cannot reach behind me (and have to use front closure bras as a result). Unfortunately, my front clasp broke and I had to use a normal bra.
I was able to actually take it off by myself for the first time in about a year. Not huge for some people, but mobility was a big issue for me.30 -
