1) muscle of people losing weight who are also now "fitness" sorts. i.e. somehow, when I was 277 I was incredibly sedentary, absolutely no doubt about it. After losing 80 pounds I got a little impatient and generally unhappy because it was the holidays and I did not want to gain weight. So I went from no exercise to 5 miles a day. When this happened I lost no weight, and was a large!
2) Also someone also mentioned the lose skin as a possible "the tape is also lying" I sew, and I used to know my measurements and trust my tailor tape. Pfft, lying little inchworm! I got to the point where when I even wrapped the tape into the skin for the "dough effect", it was still too loose!! I don't really get that either, except it still happens.
My hubby said that maybe it was just because I was trying to clothe a constantly changing form. Maybe.
Also @bojaantje3822 I loved your NSV of not eating the cookies, and instead feeling the negative feelings. THAT is how you do it!! (((hugs)))

I need some help with this please! I eat meatless 3 days a week for religious reasons, BUT I am allergic to whey (and of course cheese is one of the main food reasons that I was obese for so long). I have successfully added beans instead of cheese, and I tried the Tofutti cream cheese, because the store had that. It looked perfectly like cream cheese, and acted like cream cheese, but they didn't even put salt in it?? I have this tastes like butter powder and ate it, now it sits in the tray.
Has anyone ever had any vegan cheese that doesn't taste so horrible?

For shredded cheese, I like Violife brand. Their cream cheese leaves much to be desired, but the shredded mozzarella, parmesan block, and shredded colby jack taste 90% like the real thing. No whey in it either.4 -

If you can find it Applewood smoked vegan cheese is by far the nicest imo.
( I'm in the UK though, no idea how available it is elsewhere)1 -
My daughter made a lot of her own vegan cheeses. They’re basically soaked and liquified nuts, as I understood it. You could season them how they like. It wasn’t difficult. She did it nightly.6

It's a small NSV, but I've taken my dogs for long walks two days this week! Also, a co-worker of mine told me today that I eat more leafy greens than anyone she's ever met lol22

Annual physical was yesterday. Annual is just a term. I usually go two years beteen "annual" exams. My doctor says I'm still fit to dive, and the things that I had some concerns about probably aren't what I thought, and that's good.
I had a similar NSV last year. I had a PFO (a hole in the heart) closed in December 2020, and before that I was depth limited. In June last year, my cardiologist announced he was happy with the closure and didn't want to see me again. My diving doctor also got bored of me, and gave me unlimited sign off until the end of time.
I celebrated by buying a twinset and doing 10 days' diving on the South Coast (in Dorset, Devon and Cornwall.)

I've never bought any, but I sometimes make my own. It is nice, probably not as good as a high-quality proper cheese, but then what is?
Here is the recipe I use:

After about six weeks of dealing with lower back issues to include pinched nerves. I have done some cardio over the last two days and did some core stuff yesterday on the roman chair with a six pnd med ball. Not only do I not hurt from it, I'm ready for some more.16

I went grocery shopping today.
In the past whenever I went, i bought atleast 3-4 crisps and more often than not, would finish all of them in one sitting.
Today, I hovered over to the other side of the market. It all looked so unfamiliar, eventhough I have been to this place many many times. Its because every single time I went, I would go to the unhealthy snacks section, get my unhealthy stuff and head back. Since I didnt go there today, I wandered around other areas.
I went to the snacks section in the end, and got only 1!! Which I finished today, but had no desire of eating more than that!18 -
Since January 3 I've lost 36 pounds. Starting at 280 and now at 244. MFP following my calorie goals mainly and walking with some running. My goal is 100 lbs lost by next January 3. It's on track. Thankful for friends doing MFP as well as God for being there with me on this road.18

Lost 120 lbs, and I am pretty certain I am a medium. I bought a super soft t-shirt from Sam's in a small, because it said it was "relaxed fit". I tried it on and it was pretty lose, perfect! I showed the hubby after mentioning that I have 15 more pounds until I am at normal BMI. I used to be a 3x with no way of buying cheap tees. Hubby said, "what is after small?" I was like "What? You mean smaller than small? Extra small maybe? I don't know, I have never been this size!" I do wonder if I will be extra small at ultimate goal weight, at which point - I think I will be back at expensive clothes? Honestly, I have no clue!
5'3" 48yo SW 277 CW 155, rocking this insanity during *dramatic music* peri-menopause! It's true that two weeks out of the month I have no idea what my weight is due to water retention. I LOVE peanut butter, but it is such a calorie bomb that I've had to cut it completely from my diet. Not. Any. More. Wooo hoooo!!!
(It's the little things in life. Haha)
This!!
I actually go for powdered organic chocolate peanut butter. At only 50 calories per 2TBS it is just the right treat. I enjoy it mostly with a sliced apple and usually make it on the thinner side and use it as a dipping sauce. Yum.
Please help me understand this. I have found that it makes much less when I add the water. so to get the same amount "of premixed so to speak" - the calories are the same? Am I looking at this wrong, because I do miss peanut butter!2 -
I have achieved the thigh gap of legend... never thought I'd be here! (Especially at over 200#!)15

I love you. You are one of my inspirations and I’m so happy for every milestone and NSV you post. I am always silently first pumping with everything you post and log.
XS is next. And Target’s XL girls clothes are the same size as S and XS. Just make sure the neckline is OK. Some tend to be too high since, duh, they’re made for kids, not boobs. I’ve got allll the sequin girls’ shirts because there’s no such things as too much bling. $10 bucks a pop. And a pair of great jeggings with pandas embroidered on the knees, lol. Friends think I’m getting this stuff from boutiques. 😂16 -

@springlering62 From now on I'm going to check out the clearance section of the girls department.
(Great tip!)

Regarding powdered peanut butter, it helps if you weigh out the quantity of powder. A serving might be a bit more than you think, because two tablespoons of powder can very a lot depending on if it's packed or not.
Then you add about an equal amount of water to the amount of powder you have, so I've found that it does give you about two heaping tablespoons of "peanut butter" once you are done mixing it. I like to mix mine a bit runny and add cinnamon to put on apple slices.4 -
My NSV: I have recently started driving a lot more again, and I have been having so many problems because I sit so much lower in the seat. It was giving me trouble with visibility. Cause my butt is a lot smaller. I was contemplating getting a booster seat when I finally examined the driver's seat and found two tilt controls. Problem solved! My stomach is still really far from the wheel even after adjustment and it used to be brushing the wheel.29

The calorie count is for the dry peanut butter so the calories are the same regardless of how much or how little water is added. I just measure my 2TBS of powder, add water to my preferred consistency and enjoy.8 -
ALL of my bloodwork was within range! -C-Reaction (code for inflammation was way under compared to October 2021) Overall cholesterol was under 200, but LDL was 2 points over....no way doctor is making me give up my one slice of bacon per day!!!!15

.8 more pounds and I'll be under 200 pounds! Within the week I should break the 200 pound mark for the first time in years!32

I tried on a LARGE shirt this weekend and it fit. I know vanity sizing is pretty rampant in the clothing industry, but I am just learning to adjust to the idea that I no longer have to shop the dreaded "extended sizes" section. Even if it was only one shirt, the idea I can fit into one with an L on the tag felt pretty incredible!33

My old size 16 (Girl's size by the way, not adult size) swimsuit from when I was in the 6th grade fits me perfectly.20

I caught my husband's head cold and instead of eating all the comfort carbs, I'm choosing to eat the healthier food, largely in hopes of not catching it as bad as he had it. (plus my diet could use a kick in the pants). This also corresponds to my preferred method of "treating" most bugs - drink more water, eat more veggies/fruit for the vitamin and mineral boost, take zinc (which I did this morning)16
-
I'm wearing a large size shirt today. People keep complimenting me on the color, saying I look really nice today.23
-
Today is my 100th consecutive day of logging in and I’ve come in under my calorie goal every day. Started on February 7 this year and so far I have lost 19 pounds.24
