I have 2
I went shopping because my size 14 jeans were falling off. I ended up getting a size 10 which fits perfect now and a size 8 which are a little tight. I have not been able to get a size 8 over my thighs in 14 years!!! :drinker:
Yesterday, I had someone I've worked with for years walk by me and not recognize me. Such an amazing compliment2 -
I spent my vacation with my ex boyfriend (it's a long story he had to move home to take care of his Dad after his Mom died we can't afford for me to move- it's Madrid Spain. I'm trying to move on but blah blah blah...) He hadn't seen me in almost a year. He loved the changes...mostly I guess my butt is harder. I didn't know that. I could tell it had changed shape and size but firmer.......yeah!!!! Probably tmi too but screw it I was happy.3

The smallest pair of work pants I own (size 6 from 10 years ago) are baggy around the crotch, and feel like PJs.
I had to put two other pairs into the hand-me-down mega-pile because the crotch was approaching my knees and the waist was slung around my hips.
I now have one pair of pants, two pairs of jeans (one of which is probably getting a tad big, but they're white and I like that I'd never normally wear white jeans) and one skirt. I need to go shopping!!!2 -
Congrats everybody! I am like addicted to reading these they are so inspiring. So I put on my running pants today - all of the sudden they drag on the ground! They must be hanging a little straighter - yay! Also seems like the bow on the drawstring is getting bigger. This is the first clothes fitting difference I've seen - measure day is tomorrow but it's looking promising Keep'em coming guys!2

I was on a 20 mile bike ride yesterday, and while stopped to get a drink and enjoy the view for a few minutes, a couple of other riders pulled over to decide where they wanted to go. We ended up in a conversation and they asked me how far I was riding and then invited me to join a local cycling club. I felt very flattered that I would be considered fit enough to be invited. Never would have happened before, one because I couldn't ride 20 miles, or even 10 for that matter, two because I would probably have not had the confidence to really talk to them much, and three, because it would have been obvious by looking at me that I would not have been fit enough to be able to join in on riding like that. Not sure if I'll take them up on it or not, but feel flattered that I was asked.7

Just got back from a six week vacation. I was determined to drop a dress size between July 1 and September 1. Woohoo! I did it during vacation. So happy. Goodbye size 16 pants! The 14's I'm wearing are a bit tight, but they should loosen up before September 1.
I'm especially excited because I usually gain weight during this vacation each year. Such good desserts on that island!4 -
Today, after a long, bitter, and grueling battle, my scale gave in and started with a 2 instead of a 3. Happy, on to the next one (goal)!11

Hello to all my MFP's. I just walked my grandson to school instead of him riding the bus. He needs to lose weight as well. On my way back I happened to glance to the right of me and I saw my shadow. I said to myself, hmmmmm, there is no one here walking back home but me. I nearly passed out. lol lol My shadow as shrank so much it was almost unbelievable. People probably thought I was nuts. I was smiling all the way home. So don't think I'm nuts, just so happy my body is going down in size. my highest weight was 323 but I restarted this journey at 288.8 in Dec of last year and I'm down to 237. A total of 86 pounds and a total of 51.8 since starting MFP again. Ok, I'm finished. Have a great day.smile smile smile smile4

I have two. One has TMI alert.
Yesterday I wore an outfit without a slimming undergarment (i.e. girdle!). First of all, it felt so good to feel comfortable all day long at work and secondly, it felt amazing to know that my tummy is shrinking.
My second NSV was this morning. I'd chosen a pair of pants I knew would be loose on me, but all of a sudden I decided to try on a skirt that a month ago was too tight for comfort. Let's just say I'm sporting a cute pencil skirt today instead of a boring pair of black slacks.2 -
Yesterday at the gym I wore a fitted tank top with my spandex workout pants, not one of the bigger looser tops I normally wear. I usually don’t feel comfortable wearing a totally body-hugging outfit, as I’ve always had a bit of a tire around my middle, even when I’ve been slim. The tire is still there, but it’s slowly getting smaller!2

June 1 had to buy a new swim suit because the old one was too big. Was swimming laps today and realized I will need to buy another suit. This one is now too big. Whoo Hoo!5

I fit into one of the size 18W jeans I bought on clearance. Hopefully it won't be too long until I hit a regular 18!1

New dress and pants size0

Okay, a stupid question and although I get the jist of this post but - what is NSV?0
-
Not stupid at all. Non Scale Victory.....0
-
Thanks! Couldn't figure that out to save my life.....
For my NSV, my dress pants (work) are way too big and all of a sudden it looks like I shrunk because they are also way to long and drag on the ground.
I am allergic to exercise but I bit the bullet and last week started working with a personal trainer. I found someone who wouldn't be judgmental and would work with my limitations. I had my 2nd session on Wednesday and although it was really hard I made it through. It even motivated me enough to get the highest number of steps on my Garmin Vivofit ever. For most of you my measly 8253 steps is probably nothing but it was a big deal for me. Most of the steps were walking to and from my Dr.'s appointment. He was really happy with my progress and my food diary (yes he follows me on MFP).6 -
Threw my skinny jean into my suitcase for vacation assuming they would still fit since they had always been tight but ended up having to borrow a belt to hold them up.1
-
Not sure if this counts as a NSV...
But as I was moving a large box of cat litter around (38 pounds) I realized that's pretty close to what I've lost and it made me feel like I've actually done something good for myself, even though I have so much left to go.9 -
My friend, who I hadn't seen in a month, said I look like a different person! And I am FINALLY starting to notice the difference in the progress pictures I have been taking. My husband has been telling me all along that there was a difference in them but I am just starting to see it now and I am really liking it.5

A coworker said I am getting skinny! And this coworker isn't heavier than me; she's truly thin. I laughed it off, but it made me feel very good.3
