I woke up this morning all of a sudden looking like a pot-bellied toddler. (Except squishy.) I must be getting ready for a "whoosh." This has been making me laugh throughout the day. Especially when I happen to look down. I used to always feel so self-conscious and embarrassed -- even as a child when I was thin. Now I'm like, "Eh. Whatever."25

Resisting pizza for lunch at work today, and sticking to what I had prepared, keeping to my calorie goals25

Today I got invited to hangout and do gymnastics with some of the personal trainers from my gym! A few of the personal trainers at my gym know me now and one of them showed me a video of his press to handstand balancing on dumb bells (wow very cool!) and when I told him I used to do gymnastics he said "wow the explains a lot! I was wondering if that's why you're built like this! want to come do flips with us??" Probably going to completely suck since it's been 8 years but still stoked to be asked to hangout with the super fit people40

Every piece I tried on at the store today had to be traded for a medium. Every. Single. Piece. I have not seen a medium anything in many, many years (well, maybe gloves). Even though I'm nowhere near done (and proudly told the sales lady this), I bought two pieces because one can be taken in (I fully plan on doing that, too gorgeous to pass up!!) and the second can be belted if too baggy.
Medium. Still on a cloud.31 -
I did not use pi(e) day as an excuse to eat pizza. I had the calories for two slices but since I was home alone tonight I knew I would eat the whole pizza.
And I'm halfway through my 30 day challenges. I can do way more squats than I would have thought.20 -
I had to buy XL shorts today. I was in complete denial picking them out, trying them on, buying them, even wearing them around the house today. But, after doing housework, lifting, and sprinting back and forth across the house a bunch of times, trying out both pairs, I give up. They fit. I've been weighing in at 220 lately and don't know if it's vanity sizing or Stronglifts, but I somehow wear an XL. I even measured my hips and they are down to 47" which the size charts say is a size 18. No idea why this is coming as such a shock to me. I've been doing everything right for six months now and the top of my closet is so full of too big clothes I have to toss them up a few times to get them to stay on the pile, but it still seems like just yesterday I was squeezing into a size 3x.38

I stopped making excuses and went to the pool today. It's the first time I've done any aerobic exercise since knee surgery April '16.
It was exhilarating! I felt so alive.25 -

Off topic! Why are your profile pictures behind a locked gate?
NSV: My new Fitbit is inspiring me to be more active. Over 10,000 steps today and a trail run to boot!9 -

They did something to end up in jail! I don't know what. I've apparently behaved myself enough to not find out.
I have missed hearing about your trail adventures. Those soccer field laps just didn't excite me like the Appalachian Trail trips.6 -

HA! I've been focusing on running. And the weather hasn't been minding itself for long enough for me to get away.
I'm currently sewing a lightweight down backpacking quilt. Once I get that finished, and once we have two days running without rain (and I'm not working), then I'll go out again. I'm so close to hitting 100 miles hike on the AT!
Edited to add: NSV: I feel so good right now... it's weird! Is it possible to get a runner's high hours later? My vagus nervous system feels like it's being plucked like a harp.9 -
Somebody who didn't know me 50lbs ago saw a picture of my wedding day on the fridge and did a cartoon-esque double take: "That's not YOU?? You've changed a lot!!" Why thank you, I have ^_^26

Everything is getting to big. I have promised myself that I'm not shopping before I'm done, but it's getting a bit ridiculous - my jeans are now clown pants. I'm immensely enjoying it though!27

Go shopping, even if it's the thrift store or yard sales. You will feel so good in clothes that fit properly. You may even get a few compliments from people who didn't know what you were hiding under those clown pants.21 -

I'm going to second this. You'll feel amazing in clothes that actually fit properly.

guy I play squash with (hasn't seen me in 3 weeks) got out of his car and said, 'you've lost so much weight!'. Then on the way to the court asked if I was okay and whether I had a tapeworm. LMAO
first comment from someone who doesn't know I am working on losing happy happy23 -
There is a steep hill from the pasture gate to the porch, then a little incline to the garage. I may race the dog from the gate but usually stop at the porch. Today I ran all the way to the garage. Surprised the dog,
Hihi, I guess you ended up winning, with the dog still standing there going "WTF! she never does that!"
My mom's dog now hates going on 'walks' with me. Dog is obese by dog standards, so 'walking' with me is quite a work out for it. I do make sure to plan the 'walks' so that we pass the pond at the halfway point so it can get a drink (and make dog go swimming... it's good for it ). Ever since I started, it has lost about 1kg (still about 7kg overweight, which is HUGE on a beagle)20 -

Had a snow day yesterday (even though we didn't really get any snow), but had a few NSV even though the darn scale isn't being so nice to me:
1. Made sure to get my butt off the couch and walk on the treadmill to get in all my steps for the day instead of just laying around counting the hours down until the next day (I never would have done this in the past and HECK, I wouldn't have had a treadmill in the house in the past either)
2. Decided to go in to the "other closet" ... the one with the clothes I haven't worn in ~3years and almost everything fit!!! In fact, some of the dresses were so cute that I've brought them out to start rotating in my work trip wardrobe - time to stop wearing tents and actually making an effort again, even if I have another 70lbs to lose.30 -

I whooshed!
Actually, my NSV is that after 3 wks of weight lifting, I saw my upper arm this morning and had to do a double-take. Is that me?! I have a line in my arm. It doesn't look like a baseball bat, but there is an indentation. Dare I call it, "definition"? Like how people with muscles look.

Another NSV. For the past month and the half every morning I started doing 1500 steps before I leave home for work. So I usually spend 10 minutes marching in place and doing some light jogging. I decided today to jog faster for 6 minutes non-stop and I was surprised I was able to do it and I wasn't even tired. I could've gone longer. I met my 1500 step target. My heart rate stayed at 140 which means I must be doing it right. I think may start running by Summer time.19

well first of all - last Friday I went shopping for some new spring/summer clothes and actually had to buy a M in some stuff... I about died...
I also ordered a bunch of stuff online and about half the tops have to be returned for M's because L is just too big in some cuts.
SECONDLY - and this is the big one - I am feeling myself so hard today!!!! I look amazing. Friday I bought this outfit because I had an interview for a new job at work today. And I look and feel PHENOMENAL in it. like completely AMAZING. And I've gotten so many compliments about how beautiful/pretty/amazing/skinny/etc I look! and I love it.
Also since I'm wearing a dress today I keep checking out my legs and those bad boys look FINE. like much definition is present.
This has made me so excited for summer and really helped me find the motivation I have been lacking for my workouts lately.

After 3 months of 5K distances I did 10K for the first time last night. It was a much slower pace (62mins) compared to my 5K pace (26min) but I just wanted to see if I could actually do it. Such an amazing feeling. I finally feel like I can call myself a runner. So to all you C25K users out there, keep at it, it does get easier (but then you find you push yourself more!).32

Another nsv this week.... just bought size 2 shorts and THEY FIT!!!!32

Another running-related NSV for me. My previous NSV was coming third in my age group in a 5k road race. This weekend I ran another 5k race and came second (out of 51) in my age group. And in temperatures of 0 deg F too.
Nothing can wipe the stupid grin off my face.34 -
I went down a size in pants37

I've knocked over 5 minutes off my 5k time, seems less mass is easier to move. Who knew, right? I also have all but eliminated shin pain when running. Both are a big deal for me.29
