Night eating is a big problem for me. Well last night I stayed up past everybody else and did dishes - in the kitchen the whole time - and I didn't eat a thing! When I started feeling hungry I drank water, and when that stopped helping I went to bed. I was really worried my resolve would break but look at that! I'm developing better self control (or getting over my emotional need to eat?)!

I bought my wedding dress back in Nov 2016 and it fit me perfect. Over the last 6 months I gained 15lbs or so due to some high stress situations. Tried it on end of May and I couldnt even get the zipper up So went back a month later today and it fit almost perfect again!!! Felt so good to get that zipper back up. Only 8lbs to go!!!! 2 months and I get married eek
I know this feeling minus the losing weight part. It was such a horrible feeling when I quit smoking after I bought my wedding dress. It went from having to be shrunk down to be taken out so much that eventually they had to put ties in the back. That was one of my causes for losing weight the first time. But I didn't lose weight in time for the wedding. Congratulations to you!!

That is such a good feeling! Big girl plates! AWESOME!9 -
Decided to up things a bit this week as I've been less busy at work, so in addition to my PT sessions, my time in the gym on my own, and pilates class I joined a couple of classes, and despite being the oldest in the class by about 30 years I more than held my own, in fact I was one of the fittest in the class.26

I can feel ribs and see my collarbone!24

Had a long physically and emotionally stressful day. When I finally got the kids down and kitchen cleaned at 8:45, I didn't get a glass of wine (though I had the calories for one). Instead I went for a quiet walk outside. Alone. Much better.26

I ate Oreos! Just one serving, and I enjoyed every bit of them. Oreos have always been one of those foods that I just *can't* moderate, but I was having a weak day at the grocery store last weekend and couldn't resist a BOGO sale. I picked my favorite (classic) flavor and a new one. So, they've been in my house since Sunday and I tried the new flavor that day and didn't care for it all that much, so it was no problem to put it away after 2 cookies. I didn't think about the classics for the first day, and then on Monday, I thought about them but saw that I was pretty high in kcals that day, so I decided to defer and it wasn't a big deal. Last night I had plenty of room in my allowance and wanted them - so I ate them and stuck to one serving and was satisfied. This is a HUGE accomplishment, coming from a place where I would eat handfuls of cookies at a time and finish the entire bag in 2 or 3 days.33

I slept like crap last night. People kept talking to me at summer camp drop off, for almost 15 mins. I think I hit every red light between camp and the gym. I sat on the bike and started pedaling and the damn thing shut down. By this time I was ready to quit, as the universe clearly didn't want me to work out today.
I got on a different bike and did my 45 mins anyway.35 -
I was feeling really off on Monday myself, tired and cranky and low energy (NOT shark week), but I brought my bag and forced myself to go to the gym. I didn't try to up any of my weights or anything, I just did what I did last time, and I was proud of myself for getting in there and doing it anyway.24

14 mile trail run today. My back injury is finally really starting to heal, so I can get back to being awesome again!25

I got over 19,000 steps in yesterday thanks to the hour plus spent working on mowing our lawn (shy of an acre). I'm hoping to get lots of steps in tonight finishing it off.25

Because I cannot wear any of my now way-too-big pants and because teaching writing naked would probably be frowned up, I wore jeans (that fit) to class today. Me?! Earlier in the week, when I was dressed up (but in crazy too-big pants), I noticed everyone else in shorts, cut offs, polo shirts, etc. Still, I went through "do I wear jeans to campus?" or "don't I wear jeans to campus?" as if all life depended on it. May sound silly, but I've just never been comfortable in my own body until now. And "jeans to work" won.28

copying from my home page because I am just so excited by the numbers. Note: I have Crohn's Disease and anemia.
1. C-reactive protein reduced from 136.7 on May 1st to 63.9! Inflammation is going down.
2. Hemoglobin continues to go up. It's at 11, which means I can probably talk to my hematologist about discontinuing iron infusions, or get them on an as needed basis.
3. GI doc was impressed by the results and recent weight gain, and said it was all me and my AIP diet...the meds haven't kicked in yet.20 -
got new shirt (and modified nerf gun) for birthday last week! Love it so much and have had so many great comments about how it shows off what I have lost! fun fun

Been through a number of medical issues recently and, in conversation with one of the doctors regarding recovery, she referred to me as a 'fit, thin woman'. That was a huge NSV for me as it was a clinical description of who I am at this particular moment - not where I've come from.32

Went to the eye doctor this morning. Got a form from last year to look over to see if anything has changed. No new prescriptions, no new health issues... wait a second. "Weight: 316"
Got to cross it out and write 232. Feels good56 -
This morning I fit into my favorite jeans, a pair I haven't been able to wear since I got pregnant in Dec 2014.. hello size 4!35

I logged ALL my food yesterday, and I ate/drank way over my calories. I'd been having issues with this and just chalking it up to oh well I know I ate too much and not logging, but it made me feel much more accountable to log Everything. I was close to 1000 over, which I know is a lot, but seeing it and knowing that tomorrow I can just be under again feels good.45

Oh man, is it weird that I feel like I smell better? I work super long night shifts and by early morning I would sometimes feel like I had a little bo and needed to reapply deodorant and/or use some perfume. Lately I don't at all feel like I smell gross at the end of the night and have actually forgotten deodorant more than once (!) and still been ok. I'm not sure if it's the weight loss itself, the healthier diet, or some combo of physiological changes from diet/exercise/loss but it is a huge relief not to worry about my scrubs bein funky at shift change.33

my daughter rested her head on my shoulder and said dad you're too boney
you used to be so soft
i said you can always use a pillow43 -
I've been tracking for 4 weeks now and have cut my calories in half (I estimate I was eating 3000-4000 calories a day with no exercise and now I'm always under 2000 and moving more)
My NSV is that even though I haven't lost a pound since the 5 pounds the first week, I haven't stopped. I'm still tracking. I'm still moving. I'm not getting discouraged. I know if I keep up doing the right thing, the weight WILL come off.49 -
@MissMaggieMuffin that's so great! It can be a weird thing when you just ARE fit and thin rather than just working towards it. Weird cause we know we are always working towards it.11

Another fashion NSV
I was looking for work blouses and shirts online since my old ones are big. I noticed Ann Taylor had a pretty good 50% sale online. I added all these blouses in medium size into my cart. I can wear some small size shirts but to be safe I always go with medium sizes. I was just about to buy everything in my cart but then changed my mind. I decided stop by the store and try on the same blouses before buying. I get to the store and the medium sizes tops looked big on the hanger. I wanted a small but those were sold-out. I decided to try the xtra small just to see if I like the design and to my surprise it fit! Yeah, XTRA Small. I was really shocked.
Also while I was at the mall I saw Banana Republic is having a 50% sale. As usual I just randomly grabbed some shirts to try on thinking they were all size 8. All the shirts were size 6 or smaller and the one that fits the best was a size 2! I have never in my life wore a size 2 in anything! I'm still not convinced I'm a size 2 for tops. While I'm still struggling to lose weight on my hips at least progress is happening up top.30 -
I'm now down four pants sizes. I still have a long way to go, but this is the smallest I've been in over 5 years.32

My run this morning was 3.2 miles and I did it under 40 minutes. I've been doing awesome at getting at least 2 if not 3 runs in each week plus a super active thing on the weekend like a long bike ride or hike.
Went in for a vitamin D recheck at the doctor today and was super excited to see what their fancy scale said I weighed--it was almost 4lbs LESS than my scale at home WITH clothes on. I still use my scale at home as my official record, but it was super cool to see a number THAT low.29 -
Today I decided to see if I could fit a UK size 12 (US size 8) pair of jeans and my size 14s were starting to get loose and not fitting right. I picked up a pair in the shop and was so disappointed - they looked absolutely tiny! I went to try them on anyway, mentally scolding myself for getting my hopes up. Couldn't believe it when they actually fit! And I was even more shocked when I looked in the mirror and saw this:
I had to take a photo to make sure I wasn't seeing thing! I haven't fit a size 12 since I was 12 lol!50 -
sammieb1228 wrote: »I've been eating horribly lately and went on a junk food kick when I went shopping recently. Well, something clicked today and as I was reaching for the M&Ms I realized I didn't really need/want all this sugary candy. I threw away 3 full size Hershey's bars and a family size bag of peanut butter M&Ms. I'm hoping I can now get back on track food wise and go back to my way of making room for a sweet treat in my calories each day (usually a piece of dove chocolate) without going overboard.
I have been right there with you. It really says something when you realize you don't need or want that stuff and just toss it. It is the first step in the right direction.9 -
I just swam 1 mile
On the way out of the house, I grabbed shorts and a very small-looking t-shirt to wear when I got out of the pool. This shirt looks so ridiculously tiny to me -- like it belongs to a small child -- and it's also fitted. (Found it in an OLD box of clothes.) I washed it, folded it up, and thought I should drop it off to Goodwill because I thought there is no way anyone over 11 yrs old could wear this shirt.
Well, it fits perfectly!
This is such a shocker because I feel that I could lose 10 more lbs, and it's been slow-going. And I'm little, so I think 10 lbs is noticeable. I mean, it's way better than when I started, but I have a goal of looking totally fit, and I'm just not there yet. The last couple of days I've been seeing "old me" in a mirror or window, but that I'm wearing this shirt makes me realize I'm just in one of those weird "my brain hasn't caught up to reality" moments.
Also I finally bought a new pair of pants -- petite 00 (fr J.Jill).
Great job and good going, everyone!

At work yesterday, three separate customers told me I look like I have lost a lot of weight. Nobody noticed for the first 35 pounds. Now that I am at a 42 pound loss EVERYONE is noticing. Someone even told me my face looked so different/thinner.
10 pounds left to loose. It is so hard to loose now that I am so close to my goal! The scale has only dropped five pounds in the last three months.20
