I still see the large me in my minds eye I think. We installed security cameras in our home awhile back and I had to go back through the tapes yesterday and I did not process in my head that one of the stills was me....I was looking at the image and seriously it took me a moment to realize that slim woman was me....made me tear up a little bit. Such a strange phenom....still seeing ourselves as heavy...34

shaving the goatee up to where there is now actually is a chin instead of creating a illusion of a chin with the goatee.27

Soon to be NSV- Im getting tattood in 3 hours! I have alot of loose skin on my upper arms so iv avoided getting them tattood for ages. Im finally at a point im basically like- *kitten* it, Why do i care? I love my body, I can now "laugh" at my loose skin instead of it making me sad. If i want this tattoo why would some loose skin stop me?
So im finally getting it done, And you know what? Its going to look great, Loose skin and all Cant wait.37 -
My latest NSV is competing in my second bodybuilding competition (at age soon to be 59) and now being able to say I am nationally qualified! It's been a three-and-a-half year journey which not only entailed dropping seventy pounds (the first few months) but then going through breast cancer. Although the weight was gone three years ago, MFP still keeps me on track for doing body recomp now. I still deal with head issues when it comes to loose skin but it is slowly tightening the longer I stay lean and I've just learned to have confidence and rock it!33

Last time I flew I had TSA looking at my license and then back at me several times. Time to renew my license thankfully.20 -
100 consecutive days on MFP and (I know this is cheating) 0.6 lbs away from having lost 10% of my weight.19

Went to the library today and one of the Librarians looked at me and said "WOW you are looking so slim and fit!" the other librarian agreed with her. I see them at least once a week so the fact that they are noticing was nice....I also was wearing a newer outfit that is more form fitting than my running shirts which probably helped26

Just back from a 30-mile cycle ride (haven't done this route in months) and I did it in 2 hours 15 minutes, and half of that was into a headwind. Last time I cycled this route, it took me over 3 hours.
Average speed is creeping up . . . if only my running would improve
And . . . going up a long, long, steep hill I managed to cycle "in time" to "Eye of the Tiger" (ie, pushing a pedal down in time to the music). I was pretty impressed with myself as that hill is a bit of a killer and I usually end up going slower and slower as I get near the top.
And . . . going down my second favourite hill, I hit 44.8mph. I almost got that 45mph I've been aiming for since getting the new tyres! Didn't set the speed indicator thing off tonight either, maybe it was too dark for it to "recognise" me.
'Twas a good cycle ride
I go to bed a happy person . . . 'night all!33 -
I ran for 30 minutes straight this morning . Figure I covered about 3.5 km (total distance worked out to 5 km but I had a 5 minute warm-up and 10 minute cooldown walk as well).33

A couple of months ago, I bought a pair of adorable wide-legged pants that were really snug on me (they have no stretch)... I needed to wear some heavy-duty Spanx underneath just to be able to zip them up. I wore them to work today and could put both arms down my waistband (!!!)... my husband said they look like clown pants on me now. LOL Looks like I'll be donating them soon! (happy and sad at the same time!)18

Today, I got up on my kneeboard! I haven't been able to do so for over 10 years. I honestly thought my kneeboarding days were done. But, today I got up! The last time I even attempted was probably 5 years ago and I just did not have enough core strength to pull myself up onto the board. Today, after a few tries, I got up! I was even back to jumping the wake a bit before the night was over! It felt amazing and was just what I needed to realize how far I've come. So far I've lost 70 lbs, but sometimes I just don't see It, or feel like I have lost that much. But, days like today are such an eye opening experience that allow me appreciate how far I've come.28

After 9 months of debilitating sciatica, then back surgery, then knee surgery that has still not healed 1.5 years later, then finding that the other knee needs surgery, I got used to feeling that I would be disabled the rest of my life. Losing 60+ pounds has helped my knees tremendously. Today I felt a glimmer of hope because I was able to accomplish some strenuous housework all day without tiring. Up and down ladders was actually do-able! Maybe there is still another hike in my future!39

@JaydedMiss - awesome design!! love it definitely a fab artist you have there!
my NSV for today is that a lady at the gym came over at breakfast and said I had lost a lot of weight and was looking really good! and secondary NSV is that I didn't go bright red, just said thank you.
also, started stronglifts 5x5 about a month ago, and measurements are really changing now!! lost 7.5 inches in total over the 8 measurements I take. (1 off hips, 2 off waist, 1 off bicep - even though my biceps are awesome right now! haha)
happy happy seeing as the scale has been bouncing around the same 2lbs for the past month!!
ETA: clearly having my hair down enhances my loss - another colleague mentioned it today!23 -
I joined the local Y. I have this odd desire to do a tri next year, and the Y is the only place nearby with a pool. So I'm putting a plan together.32

Over this past weekend, I turned 30 and part of my goal was to be able to do some hiking with my husband for my birthday. I was able to do 4 miles of hiking without getting tired or overly winded because of the terrain. I consider this a huge success! Two months ago this would not have been doable but losing 24 certainly has helped!34

Yesterday morning I did a 6 mile hike in Yosemite National Park. Then I came home, had lunch and rested for an hour. Got up and swam laps for an hour.
I slept so good last night!31 -
Booked our next trip and I'm totally not worried about a little indulging. This last trip I felt so guilty especially when I came home and stepped on the scale. But those 3 lbs of water weight came off in like 2 days. I have no qualms with doing that next time!20

Walked into the bedroom naked today and my husband exclaimed "You're so skinny!" and gave me a very enthusiastic ogling. Great way to start the day.32

@JaydedMiss nice tattoo! Its on my bucket list to get one someday.
I resisted a buffet of desserts for a co-worker's baby shower yesterday. I had saved a few calories just in case something caught my eye but honestly, nothing looked quite good enough to tempt me. Ate my packed snack instead and stayed well on track.
I also have "whooshed" this week and now I only have 1 pair of pants that fit >.<

Yesterday, my work announced a new Wellness Challenge for the next few months. Basically, we split up into teams and get points for doing certain activities. For example, we get 1 point for a walk, 2 points for tennis, 3 points for running or hiking, etc. with bonus points for running, walking, or biking to work. The team with the most points wins a prize! The woman leading the meeting said to everyone, "So you all better hope Leah is on your team!" (that's me )
It blew me away that people see me as a threat in a fitness challenge. LOL if only lethargic 320 lb Leah could see me now...53 -
Had my cholesterol checked last week. It's normal for the first time in years. Without medication! My triglycerides alone dropped 250 points! Oh, my BMI has also gone from 29.8 to 26.2.27

I'm 10+ inches off my waist.33
