I have done this several times since last year. When I switch to fall/winter wardrobe this year I may not have much left. I started last year with 22 pairs of pants on the top shelf that were too small and they are now all in the closet because they fit or gone because they are now too big.25 -

2) Moving onto cycling news:
I have worn out the chain and rear sprocket on my bike. My bike and I have traveled 5,500 miles together. My husband was "I cannot believe how worn out that chain was" until I pointed out to him how many miles it's done
I will also need new brake blocks on the rear again fairly soon.
And my hands are so much thinner now that they are swimming around in my cycling gloves. My gloves used to be a snug fit.
I have so far replaced tires, both brake pads and my gloves are looser than when I bought them will have to try on gloves the next time I am in the bike shop. I have just over 5000 miles on the bike since last year.14 -

And she will, because it's seriously addictive.
And she did, even though she moaned that her legs were still hurting. More effective post-run stretching required, methinks! And slower running . . . .

Wow, that's a lot of miles. Congrats! Just a heads up, with that kind of mileage you may need to change the front chainring, too. If you find the new chain sometimes skips under hard pedaling, that'll be the culprit.10 -

You inspired me to do the same! Well, I didn't try everything on, but anything that I wasn't sure about. I'm in a different situation, as I'm pregnant and therefore growing out of clothes instead of shrinking out of them. But the too-small clothes are boxed up to be opened as a future NSV post-pregnancy! And my closet is much tidier and not cluttered with things that don't fit.18 -

I got a craving..... I wanted a new cookie dough custard concrete from Sonic so I got one. What is the NSV in this?? I logged it..... I accounted for it, making it fit in my day. For me that is success and I feel good about it40

Thank you. I just love cycling (in case anyone hadn't guessed!)

Ah - I will keep an eye on that as I did have a few incidences of the chain slipping/skipping (but not since fitting the new chain, haven't had a chance to get out as the weather has been so awful). Thank you for mentioning that. That's something else I really like about these threads - how much you learn.
And one of my tyres will need replacing again soon. In fact the way I'm going, I will have replaced everything on it except the frame before long . . . better start saving for a new bike12 -
My summer goal was to drive a golf ball 200 yards. Yesterday....twice I drove the ball 203 yards. I golfed 47 holes yesterday. Today I golfed 27 holes and I had 7 pars. In two days I played 74 holes while walking and pulling my clubs 17 miles. I am sore and tired but I feel GREAT! Rest and do it all again tomorrow.28

I just got home from swimming 80 laps, a tie for my longest swim. I wanted to do 100, but had to pee around lap 40, so I also did one full-out sprint (into the locker room). So much cardio in one day!21

My wedding and engagement rings almost fell off in the shower this morning (down 75lbs). I bent my finger before they could fall off. I'll do what another has suggested and get a keeper! (I don't know what that is, but I'll find out!)18

I bought a bracelet over a year ago and it's always been a bit stretched.
Put it on this morning, and it was a little loose! Noticed because it was actually wiggling around on my arm a bit.
Only lost 20lbs, the shock felt real ha.27 -

@Madwife2009 What bike do you currently ride?1 -
I just had to throw away my yoga mat because the tread was wearing away. I'm kinda sad. Who would've guessed I would become sentimental about exercise equipment?34

New bathing suit arrived in the mail. The shelf bra is sufficient. I would not have predicted that. It would not have been anywhere close to enough 65 lbs ago.29

I was called up to the Operating Room today. As an X-ray Tech, I have to wear a lead apron to protect myself from the radiation so I grabbed one of the aprons provided by the OR. For the first time in 12 years, I was able to fully wrap it around my body and use the Velcro tabs to hold it in place instead of tying the straps behind my back.57 -
I've recovered my mojo again after losing it on vacation! I didn't go crazy or anything on vacation, but I did get the taste buds used to sourdough bread, cookies and pasta again. When I got back home, it was harder than I thought it would be to return to my healthy eating habits. I was getting intense cravings many times a day for a full week after I returned. It was torture and it really scared me.
A few days ago, I decided to read through some of my previous comments on other people's threads, and heed my own advice. I lowered my carb intake, increased my protein and water, and drank tea when I got cravings, Today around lunch I realized that my cravings were gone and I felt like my old strong self again. What a relief!41 -

I had a quesadilla and some yogurt for lunch. I was going to have a bagel, but then realized I wasn't hungry anymore. That wouldn't have stopped me a year ago, but my mindset about food has changed from one of consumption to one of energy.
I eat to turn up the color on life. I don't deprive myself but I don't make myself sluggish with it, either.
I love this! Eat to turn up the color on life - Awesome!9 -
After losing 47 lbs and (almost) reaching my goal weight loss last summer I spent this past year only logging sporadically and, sure enough, put on 10 lbs slowly but surely. Well, now back tracking and logging faithfully. Sure enough the weight is falling off but the real NSV is that I realize I like the feeling of logging everything. I really like the feeling of being totally in control of what I am eating. And that is okay. Recognizing that I am probably going to need to log/track almost every day is okay too. Whatever it takes.

rather hyper still. And mega proud!! wanted to stop after half a mile - really wanted to stop after 4 miles. Could feel my hips starting to ache when I knew we were 5 mins away from the end. Still sprinted at the end! (sprinting on a slight downhill is less fun!)
I started C25K at the end of April and couldn't run for a minute!! so 3 and a half months and I can run for an hour!!! A WHOLE HOUR!! haha still hyper, can you tell?!?
and I did BodyPump after this. have missed that class!
.....and I got up this morning and swam 1km - yunno, to stretch out and keep moving. It was lazy swim followed by steam room but now I feel fab and am not too achey!!42 -
Just visited the restroom, undid my belt, sat down and realized that I never unzipped my pants. My jeans are now so loose I don't even need to undo them to get 'em off! Hahaha. =D41

Two things:
1. When I first started this, there was a particular pair of pants, black pinstripe always looked good on me, that I could not wear. I kept them out, hanging on the closet door. They are sz 6. I am wearing them now.
2. Last night I re-joined the gym.41 -
I just saw my Doc for annual check up. I promised myself I wanted to be in the 140s when I see her and Goal Met! This morning with my home scale I was 147.5lb without clothes. At my Doc's office I was 147.8lb with clothes. I was really surprised at how close the numbers were. I expected to be 2lbs heavier as usual. I noticed the office had a new scale and even the exam room had new equipment. My doctor was so proud of me for losing 25+ pounds. She asked if I joined weight-watchers. I said nope just counting calories using free MFP and walking.
Another NSV, my doctor checked my blood pressure manually, and it was normal. She was happy. I'm staying on my medication for now until it's low enough for me since I have family history.
Also, I hate receiving shots. I was due for my tetanus vaccine, the nurse gave me the shot and I didn't feel anything!
Next goal, when I see her next year for my annual check up, I'll be in the mid range of my BMI.31 -

Oh, it's only a little Rayleigh Pioneer Hybrid. Nothing special - I purchased it because I'd tried one for a few sessions and liked it. I grew up with Rayleighs so there was a bit of bias there as well6 -
I have a Jamis Coda Sport hybrid.4

moved a notch on the belt this week!27

Just completed my first week (again) at TDEE -1000cals every day, after eating at least TDEE +2000 for months. Feeling healthier already and in control at last21

Didn't eat the work cookies.
They were chewy. They were chunky. They kept looking at me, singing my name.
I thought about having one and burning it off on the treadmill. I thought about having a broken off corner of one. I thought about having one and cutting my dinner back. My mind was being creative.
But alas my friends, I didn't do it. I knew the sugar would just make me feel sucky. I told myself No.
Winning.49 -
Also, during the cookie trauma I found a really good way to shush the food pushers.
"Do you want this cookie...? Goooo onnnnn"
"Yes. I do want the cookie. But I want to be skinny more".
Colleagues nod in agreement and wander off.
Worked 3 times!! Whey hey.35 -
TOM for me and I'm retaining water like a leaky boat. Not letting it get me down or knock me off my game. Yes, I've had a couple of indulgences, but nothing to put me over maintenance.20

I unpacked the dresses I had saved from 2010 and sporadically tried on over the past year. Last time I packed them away in March, and today they all fit. Not sure if I should keep them, as I bought them when I was 23 and now I'm 30 (style and all), but dang, it feels good to be able to rock them again!36
