I spend the night as a volunteer at homeless shelter a couple times a month and the cots are so uncomfortable ... not last night! The mattress remain nice and fluffy all night. Grateful for that and the energy I had to run around and play with children in shelter with their folks. Beautiful thing.32

I gave blood for the first time on Sunday. As a teenager I was too anemic to give blood and then being overweight I never thought it would be a good idea to do it, but I decided a few months back to say what the hey. I'm a healthy weight now, I exercise, I can do this. I went through the whole process with no problems at all. BS was good, BP remained stable throughout, didn't get any bruising on my arm. Other than getting extremely cold when they first put the needle in (completely normal) it was a model experience. Plus one of the nurses overheard me talking about my kickboxing training (can't do it for at least a day after donating) and how much weight I'd lost (I started KB to lose weight and now I train to be a MA) that she came over to have a discussion with me about her WLJ. Like I had knowledge to impart! That was really nice. Plus she eyed me up as a size UK10/US6, which I am, but it was just nice to hear someone else see and say it.
Another one from the other day was that while I was stretching my adductors, I finally did a standing split stretch and my torso was still up right. I want to be able to box/front splits on the floor eventually and I'm one step closer to my goal.20 -
I sort of tried an experiment. I have lost close to 100 lbs but honestly I still struggle with comprehending if there have been changes. Intellectually I know of course there have been, but it just hasn't quite sunk in psychologically.
So I was going to meet a woman who I knew very well (she worked for me for 5 years and we've been friends for 10) but who I haven't seen or talked to since before I started losing weight 1.5 years ago--so she knew nothing about it. She contacted me about getting together for lunch--sounds great!
I pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant and saw her waiting outside for me. I waved to her from the car and she smiled and waved back. Then I got out of the car and headed toward her. She looked at me blankly. Then she looked around the parking lot. She looked totally confused. That's when I realized--she doesn't recognize me! So I greeted her by name. Her eyes zoomed back to me and her mouth just hung open. She gave me a big hug and greeted me with "where's the rest of you?"
For some reason that was the confirmation I needed that I do indeed look different.50 -
Had a trip to take last week and had no issues doing up the seat belt on the plane. I've always had to suck in my stomach to do it up and almost had to get an extender. No issues this trip.16

I went clothes shopping on the weekend (10 lbs from goal so I am allowing myself to slowly start buying tops), I went into one of my favorite stores and it was empty so the lady that worked there was all eager to help me. I told her I needed a size large and she looked at me and said than I looked like a medium. I didn't believe her but I took both larges and mediums into the dressing room and she was right the mediums fit better. Of she hadn't said anything I wouldn't even have tried on medium.24

I can sit cross legged on the couch without having to physically grab and move my leg over the other, ( not sure if that makes sense) and I can sit like this comfortably for a long while.24

I'm going to be in a powerlifting competition! So nervous and excited. A couple years ago I would never have thought I would compete in anything.23

I know what you mean... I can do it without the "pull" too now, but I don't find it very comfortable!6 -
My bright yellow bike jacket zips all the way up now. When I bought it in March there was No Way. I've been wearing it open all this time, till today was cold.....zipped it up without thinking then did a double take.14

I can't wait for this day, along with the day I no longer have to lift my foot to the iron to get on my horses (currently I even have to do it with my short horses3 -

I bought new pants yesterday at Costco without trying them on. I was thrilled that they were a size 10 (I used to wear a size 18). I wore them to work today and everyone said I should have bought a size 8 instead lol17

It was cold this evening. So I hauled out flannel pj's and just to check, put on a button up pajama top that last year this time was too small to get across my chest. Tonight, I buttoned it up, in front of the mirror.
This is very encouraging!

Having been a 4XL person previously I put on my L t-shirt this morning when I got out of bed. Walked to the bathroom and all I thought when I looked at myself in the mirror was 'Dammit, i'm skint I can't afford new clothes again!!!' Hahaha.
Those Large t shirts are now too large!! I can't wait to be buying mediums wondering how small the smalls come up!

A friend at church commented on how my face has changed, and pronounced that I have now crossed "the threshold of thinness..." : )19

I went bike riding with my sons for the first time this year. When we were riding up a hill, when I stood up to pedal, the bike didn't almost flip like it did last year22
