Unfortunately, over the years I had gained so much weight that they no longer fit me....until now. I'm so happy to be able to wear them again, and sadly, in some instances some for the very first time.
SCORE!! I love it when "closet shopping" pays off with cool stuff! Just discovered I can now wear the hubs lovely green Irish Aran sweater...sweet!14 -

Me too. I’ve woken up with half eaten sandwiches next to me by the bed. It’s so weird, but yes...happened to me sometimes too.

The weirdest thing just happened to me. I need reading glasses for my phone and computer, the past year or so as weight has gone on and type 1 diabetes has spiralled out of control at times, I've needed them more and more. Fired the computer up today, stuck glasses on and everything was blurry. Took glasses of and can see perfectly! So weird but I guess two weeks of good eating and good blood sugar control are having a positive effect after just two weeks. A huge NSV for me, almost brought tears of happiness!43

I got diagnosed with T2 in November (in addition to my high blood pressure and high cholesterol), and I've been trying so hard to change my lifestyle to avoid checking sugar levels and injecting myself every day. Today, I got my three-month lab results at the doctor's office, and all my hard work is paying off!
- A1c is down 0.8 (6.4 to 5.6 -- now in the normal range)
- Cholesterol is down 88 (227 to 139 -- normal range)
- Triglycerides are down 252 (344 to 92 -- normal range)
- LDL is down 27 (110 to 83 -- normal range)
- Fasting glucose is down 60 (155 to 95 -- normal range)
- Blood pressure went from 160 something over 90 something to 110/70 (perfect!)
This is in three months. I used to feel like it was too late to turn my health around, but it's not. Just 90 days can make so much of a difference! I've lost almost 50 pounds, but this part is really bringing up the feels
Only bad part is my HDL is now too low! But, good news -- I get to eat more avocados!36 -
NSV I burned 4300 Calories in one day25

It’s been very cold and rainy here in the Midwest these past few days and just for s**ts and giggles I decided to try on a pair of Hunter rain boots I got as a gift a few Christmas seasons ago. They are a tall and narrow style boot. I was so embarrassed when I received them because they are very nice and I couldn’t get them to go more than a few inches above my ankle. Now, 2 years and 60 pounds down later, THEY SLID ON LIKE A GLOVE. My feet and legs were so happy and dry and I could’ve cried from joy. It’s the lil things y’all.47

It is Feb 22nd and I just ate the last chocolate from the 2 boxes I got as Christmas gifts. They normally don't make it to Ukrainian Christmas. Yay me!26

After loosing 50lb, my half way through. I cannot sit for long on wooden chairs, my gluteus hurt and have to stand and walk for few minutes. No complaining here as went from 50 size pant to 42 size.20

The cravings. Dear gods, the cravings. For, err, healthy veg. I’m currently eating 1300 kcal, and I COULD be craving chocolate and cheese... but no, I get to midafternoon and all I can think about is red pepper and fine beans. And maybe the tiniest smidgen of peanut butter.
Go you, body, you’ve got the idea!29 -
6x 135lb standing dB curl...
After 3 sets of weighted chins and 3 sets of bent over hexbar rows6 -
Got to 5 miles on treadmill yesterday!25

My daughter (20 months old) woke up early this morning and threw a wrench into my normal morning workout routine. I adjusted by putting Mickey Mouse on the TV for her and following a cardio video on my phone in the living room. A few minutes in she's right beside me jumping around and kicking her legs up. Made my morning...39

Thursday night is usually my "cheat night" when I enjoy making dinner with my bf and daughter and drink wine and watch #tgit. I went to the store and bought healthy food, bought my bf beer but stood in front of the wine and couldn't decide what I wanted... so I just skipped it bc I wasn't craving it and why have all those extra calories if I don't really want it? Ended up under my calorie goal and weighed in at 196.00 this morning. I started at 208.6 on January 7th. It's not as fast as I would like but I am happy with my direction!39

After a month or so of talking about it, my boyfriend and I started the keto diet a little less than 2 weeks ago. The first week was hell for me because of impending shark week, so I didn't cut as many carbs as he did. Now that I've just finished shark week, a little more than 1 week of being super extra careful with carbs, I realized today that I'm in ketosis! How it happened so fast, I have no earthly clue!6

400 day streak! the last 35 days had been relatively slow from the scale prospective, but I certainly continue staying on the track. Hope to see 1000 day streak one day35

I took my BodyPump instructor's instruction to load our bar with extra weight during our back track. I didn't think I was ready for it yet. But put an extra 5 lbs on the bar and got through the entire track.
New back weight: 35lbs13 -
I’m very clothing motivated... I moved from a medium to a small, size 4. It makes super cheap clearance so much easier to find. I bought a pair of pants at Old Navy for under $4 this morning.17

Ate my Whole30 compliant sweet potato, broccoli, and tuna dinner, while my family ate pizza.
Only wanted to cry a little bit. (Mostly joking.)18 -
I've been in maintenance for a couple years now but last night I went to a store and grabbed nine different pairs of jeans to try on and it was lovely that every pair fit, and I was able to choose the ones that looked the cutest. For most of my life it was more like, out of these 9 pair which 2 will fit me and look the least horrible. Still love that feeling. Also love being able to browse the juniors section AND ladies clearance, even though I wouldn't wear half the juniors stuff due to being older, it's just nice to not be stuck in Plus like I was from ages 15-37.40

I am clothing motivated too! I am the ultimate bargain shopper and with each size that passes me by it just gets cheaper and cheaper. LOVE IT7 -
After a week of traveling for work, without my trusty food scale, and eating entirely from restaurants, I'm still exactly on track. That really makes it sink in that I CAN do this for the rest of my life without feeling deprived.29

Finally got a decent (for me) time at Parkrun this morning. Something always happens to stop me getting a better time. Still really slow but I was thrilled with it.
It's the little things . . .
I should also thank the person who suggested Parkrun - I think it was @Tacklewasher - it's totally addictive and gets the whole family involved. Three of my family now run every week and we all volunteer. Between us, at Parkruns, we have volunteered 248 times, run a total of 371km (232 miles) and made lots of friends.24 -
My NSV for the week is that I finally made it to a yoga class at my gym (been trying to for weeks) and not only did I LOVE it but I also did pretty well keeping up! I tried a class years and years ago and while I enjoyed it, it was way above my fitness level at the time (couldn't do most of the poses for any length of time) but after having been diligent in running and strength training the past month, I was able to do almost everything .... It was challenging, but it felt amazing to have the stamina for it and i can't wait to do it again next week! It was a nice confirmation that what I'm doing is affecting more than just my scale.16

A few lifting NSVs...
1. I successfully completed two weeks of Strong Curves -- my first attempt at a program without a trainer. I can actually get myself to the gym without having a scheduled session! Shocking.
2. I had been deadlifting with the trap bar for the past few months. Yesterday my trainer suggested we try the straight bar. Um yes! Even my lifting-obsessed husband hasn't used the straight bar yet hehe.
3. I finally got to add weight to the bar for my back squats. To think when I started strength training in September, I couldn't even do a bodyweight squat. I had to squat with my back against a ball on the wall. Cray-cray.16 -

Awww. You made me blush...
Yeah, I've done a lot of them but I've not been as faithful as you have. I've done 28 so far. My wife came out to a few, and says she want to do more but we keep getting this white stuff all over the place and she'd thinks the dogs need cuddling because of it (or else she just wants to stay warm). I'll go today but it's hard to motivate running through 3-4 inches of this crap.
So, I guess my NSV is that I prompted you to try them. :flowerforyou:18 -
I didn't get upset when I went over my calories on Thursday. I was super hungry, so I ate just under maintenance level, and was back under goal yesterday (instead of over-eating just because I'd already missed my goal one day so why not just give up for the week).31

We went to the movies last night. I was in the restroom and a couple of young women came in who were at a healthy weight. I saw them, then turned and saw all three of us together. I wasn’t significantly larger than them. I was taller, sure, because I’m taller than most women, but I didn’t look significantly bigger. I might actually believe that I look like a normal person now. Nothing to see here, people...45
