I no longer pull my seatbelt out all the way when I get in the car20

A girl I super admire for her strength at the gym complimented me on my weight loss. I might have fan-girled a little.29

Just changed my profile picture to reflect the fact that I hit my original goal weight (though I revised it down a touch) and now find myself mentally focused not on losing but on recomping and other fitness goals.25

Haha I thought it was just me- it used to make me feel a bit funny too 🤭4 -

You know I always wondered about that! When I first joined MFP and uploaded that I actually put out a general call to my contacts to ask if it was too much but nobody said anything at the time7 -

Good job on the coke! But mostly I wanted to say that your profile pic makes me laugh [/quote]
The picture was taken when we went on our first cruise this past April. That was the first towel animal that was left in our room. Had to take a picture with it. 😁5 -
Day 1 of week 5 c25k this morning! And it was nowhere near as hard as I was expecting it to be 😁17

I'm starting to see a tiny bit of definition in my biceps!17

Went climbing with a friend and stayed after to build endurance, so all told about 2 hours total—a victory in itself that I could make it that long! But the real NSV is that a “real” climber asked if I wanted him to belay me—because I “looked like I climbed” and he had seen me doing some decently hard bouldering routes. Me! I look like I climb! I’m smiling ear to ear.22

Noticed a little more muscle in my arms at the gym today! Been upping my exercise little by little so it feels very rewarding!15

Now I’m a little worried if I continue to lose weight that my dress will be way too big and I’ll pay out the wazoo for alterations. But I want to continue to lose weight. This is a good problem to have, right?
It is... even if you don't know the inches - how many sizes have you lost? Can you make a guestimate based on that? Me, I would cancel the order and wait for two more months - then you could see whether there has been any significant change over two months and "x" pounds - and then make a good estimate of what will happen over the remaining 5 months - allowing for wedding stress, of course.
Congrats and happy weight loss. Maybe someone will be so impressed by your work that they will pay for the alterations.7 -
After losing 50lb three years ago and then stalling (though mostly keeping it off since then) I was beating myself up for not getting to my goal, for gaining a little bit here and there, for trying to get back into MFP but losing interest multiple times... I finally feel like it might be sticking this time. I've got a 33 day streak, I made really filling smoothies yesterday and this morning, and I've been packing my lunches the night before. Even if the weight isn't exactly falling off this time around, I still live in hope that I'm really getting back into those good old MFP habits.18

It’s day 49 of eating just about the exact amount suggested by the app to lose weight. No binging. No starving. No excessive exercise. No throwing in the towel. Low and slow. For the first time in my life I’m not constantly swinging to extremes. It’s a daily battle but I think the psychology of it is getting better. And I just gotta keep reminding myself that for me, that’s a huge feat and to hold fast to that, if nothing else.26

Was visiting family and did some touristy things with my hubby. I kept insisting we take our pictures. He was so happy “I’m glad you like getting your picture taken now.” Years of our relationship with no pictures because I was so ashamed of how big I was. Now I’m like “hold on let me just put on a little lipstick”. Oh yeah, I wear lipstick again and spend more time with my hair and make up. Lol and keep my nails done, I look so damn good I just want to gussy up!31

I was just thinking the same thing, lose weight and you start doing nice stuff for yourself, new clothes and most everyone fixes their hair different or colors it for some reason. We start feeling good about ourselves. I know I have learned to say No more also so we take care of ourselves that way also.16

I injured my back at the gym Wednesday. So, I had to set my calories to sedentary Thursday, and I hit them!!!17

My "tight" pants are now getting baggy!!

I noticed this morning the waistband on my underwear was pretty loose!17

Pretty small one but I need to mention it. I'm in a bad mood today and am hating on my boss. I'm not currently eating my feelings.35

I've had a nasty cold since Monday, but I managed to get a workout in each day this week, despite feeling so crappy. I think I'll take it easy this weekend though, hopefully get over this cold!17

i went to the gym for the first time in over 7 years!37

Survived doing 50 burpees29

A co-worker actually noticed that I had lost a little bit of weight and said something about it!27

1. Off my butt and lifted something.
2. Out of my rut and added lb to it.19 -
11:15am local time and I have been out for a walk/jog, taken a horse for a nice slow ride along the creek and completed a dance workout. I have a party to attend tonight so I knew I wouldn't get a chance to workout. Plus I want to be able to indulge a little bit, and knowing that I've burnt some extra calories helps me do just that without any feelings of guilt. 😁15

My most recent NSV was the fact that I now fit into a size Large shirt. A comfortable fit!
A year ago, I was pushing 5XL. Today, a Large. I shake my head in disbelief writing this, but I'm glad I got to this point.69 -

This is amazing, Ryan! Never thought I’d be rooting for strangers, but I am so proud of all of us!
My morning NSV: I put on a new, small (!!!!) track jacket. It’s a very tight fit and I was mentally punishing myself for my pot belly when I realized, yeah, it is a pooch, but through the small (!!!! I will never get tired of writing that!) jacket you can see the outlines of a six pack forming!
I even pulled it up to verify, and was transfixed looking in the mirror to see my belly button going concave when I exhaled. That hasn’t happened in thirty years. Win!!!13 -
Definitely got to go buy some new pants as selection is slim. Same as when they were all fitting tight, the selection was slim. This is bittersweet for me because, as a dude, I don't enjoy shopping for clothes; in fact, I consider it work.
Also, in another bittersweet NSV, I'm sure colder now being lighter. Doing the trick I learned from my wife and layer; it works.
Finally, developing a joy of using the tape measure to evaluate progress. Definitely better feedback than the BF scale with all its distortions due to hydration levels. Never wanted to fuss with the tape measure when I knew it wasn't going to give me what I wanted. Now, I look forward to my period "dates" with it.11
