I got my Concept2 rower out of the garage, dusted off, and did 10 minutes of hell on it. Tomorrow hoping for 11.30

Nice! You're getting smaller as your baby is getting bigger. Should make them easier to carry around! 😀8 -

Walking with my wife, a neighbor pulled up in his car and said, "I don't even recognize you any more, you've gotten so skinny." Heh, heh...29

Technically mine is a scale victory.
191 which makes me in the "overweight" bmi category now. 💪28 -
Oh.. I also turned down pizza on Sunday lol
Things keto does to you XD12 -
I just spent a MONTH on workout restriction to reduce inflammation and get my iron levels up. Not only did I *double* my ferritin levels by staying compliant with doctors orders, I *lost* 13 lbs, despite having to get by without any added workout calories. (Mind you, it's likely that a lot of that is *water weight* but I was still deeply worried about staying within calorie goals without added workout calories.)
With luck, I'll be able to hit the gym again soon and get everything else back on track soon, too!25 -
Been trying to stick to a regular workout schedule (all cardio for now). Not much action on the scale front, but Fitbit says my resting heart rate has gone from the high 60’s to the low 60’s. So that’s something.31

Went with my instincts and bumped up my calorie intake to break through a 2 month long plateau.
MFP suggests a very low deficit for me. (or maybe I’m not actually sedentary? Who knows. I’m a mom with 3 kids who homeschools.) But when I eat that low (1800, 1600, 1450) I feel like *kitten*. Absolute *kitten*. Can’t sleep, exhausted, can’t lift well, over emotional, did I mention how TIRED I get? Ha!
I calculated my intake based on a few other calculators out there on the inter webs and bumped things up to 2080.
WOW do I feel better!! HELLO SLEEP and feeling great!
NSV? I wasn’t afraid to do it. I focused on how I felt and decided however skinny I may end up being, 1450 calls a day just isn’t worth it. Losing sleep isn’t worth it. But guess what? I’m shrinking again30 -
i walk 4 to 8 miles a day since i had a stroke in 2006 because awesome partner is an avid wildlife photographer. Don't own a scale; can't afford American health care so have no idea what I weigh, but as long as my strong legs get me there. i adore my zippy little waalker.28

Another silly NSV: shopped at Victoria Secrets off table tops (mediums).... Didn't have to dig in drawers for larger sizes.
Anyone else deal with body distortion? The other day, I wanted a pair of jeans, they were out of 12s so I picked up the size 10... It looked so tiny to me. I thought, I won't be able to get one leg into these. But my daughter pushed me to try on, and they fit. Ended up buying loose medium shirts, just because I couldn't wrap my head around the concept of buying a small...I still feel size 20s and somewhat still see myself size 20s!33 -
I benched the bar. (So strong!)29

Last year ,around this time ,I would wear my Fitbit at the 4th notch from the end.Now I do it up at the 9th hole from the end...sometimes 10th,I guess depending how much salt I have lol. I may need a smaller wristband soon18
-
I needed to tighten my Fitbit a notch. And the same for my belt buckle. (The new, smaller-sized belt.) I take my rings off at night so they don't fall off in bed.13

Hey, that bar weighs 45 pounds - I was totally stoked when I was able to bench the bar without assistance! I still only bench the bar + 10... Working on that upper body strength!
You GO, girl!16 -
It's been a frustrating week. Fell on Sunday and broke my wrist. Saw the surgeon on Monday morning and he said he would try to get my surgery scheduled for that evening. Go home, don't eat. Didn't work out. He said possibly Tues don't eat after midnight. Tuesday afternoon, canceled, don't eat after midnight again. Wednesday arrive at hospital noon. In pre-op and ready to go by 1:00. 5:30 surgeon comes in and says someone screwed up and should have brought me to surgery 2 hours ago. Canceled for today come back tomorrow, go home, don't eat after midnight. Now into a pattern of forced intermittent fasting.
NSV , I DID NOT binge eat after any of these set backs. I had simple meals of cereal, veggie salad, or simple proteins.
It's now Thursday morning and Waiting for call again. Not letting the set backs get to me.

Alright, my most recent NSV. I have never been good with finances. Many years ago i declared bankruptcy and always scraped by paycheck to paycheck. I got divorced and moved and all that jazz. After buckling down for a few years I have repaired my credit to the point where I got approved for a 0% APR card to consolidate my debt just yesterday. Its amazing how your state of mind can change your outlook.45

Today, my resting pulse is lowest I have recorded since starting last April. 52! when I started it was 90-100.37

was walking into the store as an acquaintance was walking in and he didn't acknowledge me...so I kind of gave him a shoulder shove and I got a dirty look for it. I was taken aback and then all of a sudden he looked surprised. He hadn't recognized me 😂29

For the first time, I ran 9 miles today. About 2 years ago I couldn't even walk that far much less run it!32

After not weighing myself, logging food, or even logging in here for inspiration or other for weeks. I have logged my breakfast, and lunch (oops need to include my apple snack) and went for a short walk at lunch and signed up for a lose weight by Christmas challenge on MFP. Maybe something will stick again this time around.24

Thursday is deadlift day. Put 235 on the bar for the work sets. Did two sets of 5. Barely got the 1st rep of the 3rd set off the platform. Reset myself (mentally as well as physically) and then pulled the last set of 5. In the past, I would just stop if I missed a lift. Felt good to work through a setback and reach the goal I set.24

Crossed paths with a neighbor today who remarked that I was looking thinner! 😊24

I've been ill all week. It's been pretty grim, to be honest, it's been a long time since I've been so poorly and I'm still not right.
Somehow I've managed to strike a balance between exercising when I feel able and resting when I needed to. I've also kept to where I should be on my calories.
A far cry from complete rest and eating to comfort myself.22 -
I ran 4 miles today (longest run to date) and the trail was pretty hilly. The hills killed me, and I had to take a few walk breaks to get my breathing under control, but I finished the distance. Not only do I feel super proud of myself for finishing, I feel like the hills were great training and I may add hills more often (even though I hate them so much). 😝
(ETA: Someday I will finish that run without any walk breaks)27 -

I am finally getting back my enjoyment of lots of lovely exercise - swimming in particular.
Got a 1km time of 16:31 this morning which is a whole 30 seconds faster than my fastest time in Jan 2018!25 -
This north face backpack has been collecting dust for at least 12 years ever since I bought it. It never fit me. In fact, I had it at the largest length and still couldn't snap it together! I didn't bother returning it because I figured one day? Well, today I tried it back on and it not only fit, I had too cinch it up fairly tight. These little things motivate me! Now, what the hell did I buy a backpack for? HA!
