What's Your Most Recent NSV

I'm perpetually in the doldrums of not being able to see much of a difference when I look in the mirror - though I'm mostly ok about it since my focus is on feeling physically better. But, four co-workers in the past two days have spontaneously made comments like how I'm melting, the pounds are falling off, etc. I'll call it a NSV win
Even better to me, though, was how one of those comments also included: "Wow, I think I should just have whatever you are eating from now on. You are so healthy and are looking amazing!". Aww shucks, someone thinks of me as being healthy!!! 🥰30 -
I forgot about my other big NSV, also oddly from the office -
There was a catered event last night, and leftovers are always put in the staff break room for everyone to nosh on as they wish. Today I glanced at the calorie-intensive goodies with a tiny bit of wistfulness, but otherwise had no real temptation to indulge. I was so happy about feeling content with my packed/planned lunch26 -
I've reached the last hole of my belt! Time to add a few more holes.
Also, I've been able to wear smaller bras, and I love that!18 -
@martianspuds It's amazing how we are so often our own worst critic and enemy, isn't it? I'm so glad your coworkers noticed how good you're looking these days.
I just came home from a NSV of my own, very pleased with myself. Out to dinner with friends, only one glass of wine, fish as main, and no dessert! Usually dinners out are my Waterloo.
Also, last week I had three days of "off the wagon" style eating and gained 3/4 of a pound, but now I seem to be back on track. Whew! I just have to remind myself to log what I eat even when it's like 4,000 calories that day (I didn't this past week. My diary is open so the shame was too real).18 -
Finding some discomforting NSVs, but I'll take them.
When doing floor exercises or sitting in hard chair, I can feel my bones and muscles in contact with hard surfaces... It's not a comfortable feeling, but I am sure I will get used to it again, forgot what it feels like to have less fat for cushioning
On the positive side, I looked in the mirror and saw my clavicle bones, haven't seen those in years! I'm so happy they've popped out to say hello again. It also looks like I have a neck again!21 -
UK ladies with, um, large bosoms will appreciate how much of a big deal this is...
I'm currently wearing, and am comfortable in, a supermarket bra. Asda, since you didn't ask.
I'm stunned. £4. £4 for a bra. If this stays comfortable all night, I'm going to have a full bra drawer for the first time in years!30 -
Looking better in this dress!!

You're lucky there. That's awesome!!
I'm having the opposite problem in US.
I can't find bras after losing weight. American bras were easy to find being big breasted and wider around measurements (like when I was 42" DDD) or easiest bras to find here are cup sizes A-B-C with tinier measurements (like 32"-36" A-B-C).
Measuring 32" around (about 81 cm), but still have DDD US (I think F in UK) cup size breast... Impossible to find a bra here. Going to drive to bigger city next week to see if I can find one.
Falling out the bottom of bras, anything with big enough cups is way too big around.8 -
I guess this is an NSV. Lately, I have added some pool exercises to my routine that require a bit more motion such as jumping jacks and jogging in place; with that I began to notice my (extra large) swim trunks would precariously loosen no matter how tightly I tied the draw string. I put on other trunks, large that were destined for donation. Although a little snug. I can get them on and off and am now using them and have spared myself a potentially embarrassing "wardrobe malfunction"! 😁21

Aarrgggh! You can't win can you?
Hoping you find your holy grail of bra places!5 -
Hockey season has started for my daughter. The arena where they play shares a parking lot with a beautiful park with a 1 mile (mostly) paved walking loop. I decided to walk/jog (I still walk when people can see me...don't judge me) the loop during practice. One loop around, I met a hockey Dad with whom we've had kids on teams for 6 years. I said "hello" and carried on. When I met him the next lap, he stopped me and told me that it took him a few minutes after I went by to realize who I was, and to tell me that I look great and to keep it up. That felt fabulous.34

Currently in the weekend from beyond the pale. As in just plain awful. If it can go wrong, it has (so far), including but not limited to:
My daughter at uni being unable to sort out her own phone issues because her phone had been blocked by the service provider, hence many messages to her parents via email to sort it out (and she has no patience and wants an answer NOW)
Sorting out DD's problem meant that I had a shorter bike ride than planned
My car being ransacked overnight - luckily they only appear to have taken a few sweets that were probably out of date - well, they are welcome to them if they are that desperate. I'm just grateful that my car was undamaged.
Smacking a supermarket trolley into my car (well, the wind took it but I should have had hold of it)
A run in with a driving instructor because I dared blow my horn at his pupil, who had allowed the car to roll backwards towards mine; the instructor got hold of the wrong end of the stick and thought I was being impatient
Not bettering last week's parkrun time, even though I ran much better this week. I was a few seconds slower. I then realised that it took longer to get through the start line than last week.
Normally, a series of events like this would cause me to cave in and comfort eat.
But I am not going to. After lunch I am going to get out on my bike for a couple of hours. Maybe a little longer, now I'm used to the saddle, it depends on how cold I get (it's really cold here just at the moment). Then, later on, I'm going for a run.
Because as someone once said to me, "It's not what happens to you, it's how you deal with it."36 -
I can feel my thigh bone when I squeeze my leg, rather than just the padding! There's still lots of padding to go, lol, but I love it when I can literally feel the difference.19

Silly NSV: Bought a new hat yesterday.
NSV: face thin enough again to wear hats giving nice urban appearance, instead of looking like Hyacinth Bucket!
When my face has weight, hats make me appear older and old fashioned.
Going to coffee house and concert in the city look versus going for tea at the Lady's annual garden tea party. LOL!!26 -
Tried on my old favorite shirts, the ones I shoved into a drawer after it became obvious they were just too small to wear.
They fit nicely. As a bonus, a concert shirt that was a little tight when I bought it also fits comfortably without being tight at all.
I've now turned the dial back to my 2010 body. Another 20 lbs and I'll be back to 2007. Who says you can't time travel?
Also MFP let me know I'm over halfway to my goal. Such a huge distance and I've crossed more than half of it. Looking forward to that bikini body for next summer lol.38 -
I was post assessed after my "next steps" program last week and there was improvement in nearly every body most notably to me being my "body age" dropping from 71 to 69, closer to my actual age.23

I can so relate! Husband said he can feel my ribs bizarre nsv but I'll take it🤣14 -
Todays NSV.
I'm trying not to do too much clothes shopping while I'm losing but I felt I was in need of a new ugly white work shirt. I initially bought 3 white work shirts for my new job 3 months ago which was the time I started this weight loss journey. To my embarrassment, I barely fitted in their largest mens size of 18. Most of the reason for not fitting in was my large stomach.
So I went along today and not only was I a size 17, but I could buy it as a slim-fit style which is slightly tighter around the waist due to some feminine pleats. It's still a huge size for a shirt but I'm proud of getting into a female one now. I also tried on the 16.5 and I fit it in the regular but not the slim but I wanted one in the slim so I got the 17.23 -
I hurt my knee a couple of weeks ago (turns out it's a torn ACL and shredded meniscus!) so didn't do any exercise of any kind the first week. But then I got itchy to exercise.
The NSV is that 5 years ago, when I started this process (this is my second big go-around after gaining back about half of what I lost), I would never have considered the idea of missing the ability to exercise. But now, even injured, I can find something I can do for exercise because I just can't NOT do at least something!20 -
Went to see Taking Back Sunday this weekend. Bought a merch shirt in a size medium! Last winter I was buying 2XLs22

I can totally identify with this. Yesterday I fell and broke my wrist. Today I was asking the surgeon how soon before I can run again. Loving this new attitude. DH was also suggesting alternative low impact exercise to keep me satisfied.16 -
Had to pick up a parcel at the post office and decided to walk instead of taking the car...who the heck am I anymore 🤣27

Last Thursday, 10/17/19, I just started a new elimination diet based on the foods that are inflammatory markers for me (MRT/LEAP). This is the hardest phase because I only have so many foods that I can eat right now. Anyway, I was sitting in class today and I realized that my tummy isn't as "puffy" anymore and I'm actually starting to feel better! Crazy what happens once you figure out which foods are causing you problems!19

i bought a sz 12 jeans last year, tried them on and they were so big I could slip them off without unzipping them so I went and bought another pair, sz 10 this time. Hard to believe, I use to be in sz 16.27

I went walking again today! It's been one thing after another that's stopped me for a while - depression hit, then when I got back on meds and started exercising again I overdid it and could barely walk for a while, then I quit a medication and have had the Worst discontinuation symptoms that make me feel awful when i'm not lying down. But I got back on the horse! Just in time for cold weather.25

I've lost 79lbs today and am officially in the healthy BMI range.

I have reached my first month binge-free! I don't care what the scale says or doesn't say -- that's worth even more to me!50

NSV- I've logged faithfully for 31 days. 😀28
