Today, looking in the mirror I started to see torso muscles I didn't even know I had. Additionally, the belt that had gotten very small is now way too large.
I am on the right path and very happy for it. A few more pounds and I going to buy some "mid point" pants as my current pairs are really not working anymore.13 -
Did my fastest 5k tonight in a treadmill workout!23

I feel like a moron posting this but on the leg press machine I noticed I had a dark smudge on my calf. I figured it was from the stair treadmill or different equipment. I tried to rub it away unsuccessfully and it turned out to be a calf muscle shadow!36

Nothing moronic about that - I've had similar.7 -

Congratulations! I've donated everything BUT what I bought last summer, I don't plan on fitting in it again but because it's newer I feel like I didn't get enough wear out of them. Stupid because they're 2 sizes too big!13 -
@Katmary71: I've had to do that too. I felt really bad because some of this I'd just gotten last fall and they were "still good" but I can't wear it if it's falling down and such. So out it went.10

Posted earlier that I ordered some clothes from Chico's in a smaller size...they came today and though they are snug everything fit!17

For the first time I got through the whole kettlebell class with my 8kg kettlebell not having to switch to a lower weight towards the end21

So most of you will remember how as children we all learnt how to sit on the mat in front of the classroom teacher with our legs crossed? I was certainly good at crossing my legs and sitting still as a child. I used to be quite flexible and could get into some odd positions as a child.
Well anyway, with my weight loss came my lack of flexibility and being unable to do even simple things like bending over to pick up things. But I already posted my nsv about how I can now bend down easily... so useful and I happily make use of that skill again multiple times a day.
At the start of my weight loss I spent some time with kids in a school and I could not cross my legs on the mat with them. It was bad enough just getting down on the floor, but then I had to kind of sit sideways and it took up too much room and I lent heavily on my arm making it sore and my wrist almost break but I had no choice. Then I couldn't sit in one position for long because I was so enormous and uncomfortable. This is going somewhere I promise...! ...because today I was working with some kids again and we went to the mat. I got down easily and then gingerly (I promise I wasn't sure if I could do it) crossed my legs. My left thigh was really sore in the crossed position but I decided to ignore it and hope it would loosen up. It did loosen up a bit after a rather painful five minutes. So I only sat for less than ten minutes like that before I couldn't stand it any longer but you know what? I'm going to practice that at home a bit. I would really like to get my flexibility back and the weight loss and the lack of a big stomach and thighs already is helping so much.31 -
Today I was feeling crappy about the scale not going down lately, and out of utter curiosity I stepped on the scale at the gym with my shoes and heavy backpack and coat on. With all those things on I weighed as much as I did in November!24

I recently went through a pretty horrific experience with a bulged disc in my back. Was off work for a couple of weeks and have actively been doing physio since the incident. Today was the first day I could actually bend down and almost touch my toes and felt little to no pain doing it! Baby steps but I’ll take it. Can’t wait to get active again and build up my strength!27

I have had to tighten my watch strap to the next notch the last couple of days.
And I have also noticed my wedding/engagement rings getting looser and turning round a lot - haven't had that happen in a long time.14 -

Size 2 jeans! When I started in August, I was a size 14 in the same brand 🤯🤯🤯
Looks like they even are a bit big for you! Is it a size 2 in US or UK sizes?
Definitely US sizes 😅4 -
My safety vest my husband got me so we could walk at night finally zipped up all the way.26

My pants that were a little tight last month are now so loose that they feel like sweatpants23

My bra straps kept falling off my shoulders yesterday, I think it may mean some shrinkage in the boobage and shoulder area!20

NSVs are my favorite victories I pay less and less attention to the scale.
- Rings that used to fit me snug fit me better now
- Same with clothes. My favorite clothes are clothes I bought when I was at my skinniest
- Easier to shop for new clothes
- No underboob sweat in summer
- Noticeable cheekbones. Easier to apply blush
- Seats feel roomier
- I can sqeeze between places more easily

My husband is hugging my differently! He will go full in and then grab his elbows and squeeeeze he hasn’t been able to do that in years! For the last several years he has hugged me pretty high up (there is about 8” height difference), but lately he has been dropping lower. I was laughing about it the other day, and last night he finally confessed that he had been hugging me higher because he knew I was self conscious about my belly...22

I don't notice a noticeable difference (I also didn't measure myself though back in November when I re-started this) but I can button up blouses again that I haven't been able to wear in 2 years because they were to tight across the stomach. Sam thing with some of my dress pants.17

We had spinal alignment consultations at the office today, and aside from the head being a leetle bit forward (which it has been since well before I started working at a desk) and my non-dominant shoulder slightly lower (?!), I'm pretty well aligned. Hips almost perfectly square and weight balanced to within a kg on each side.
The consultant asked if I was considering seeing a chiropractor, to which I (honestly) responded 'Not just now,' and that I was really only looking for a check on where I am. She said I was in good shape and asked if I was active. My running, light bodyweight workouts and occasional visits to yoga are doing me good!! (Am going to re-add once weekly pilates. Which I don't like doing, but really do need to make sure my core and flexibility...)
Given that I do work a desk all day, this was totally a NSV!!15 -
I was so inspired catching up on this thread yesterday that I went out and walked for 30 minutes.28

But not jealous enough to get pregnant.12 -

Or you could have a fructose problem like I do. Eat more than a few bites of ice cream or one homemade cookie, and you'll get a massive hangover and feel rotten. I don't miss the caramel sauces and gooey cakes as much as I miss pears and strawberries and honey.

When my dad married my stepmom, I was 13 years old and already bigger than she was. I was a very chubby kid but also she's 5'3" and I am 5'8".
Anyway, this past week she bought some pants on clearance that were too big for her size 8 figure (size 10) and I said hey, I might want them. They fit well. Cracked me up and definitely counted as an NSV for me, especially since I wore plus sizes by the time I was 15.22 -
more than 2/3 of my closet is now available for new clothes when I can afford them.17

I've been completely vegan for two weeks. Very excited. And I am feeling less bloated and my mind is more clear. Who knew giving up dairy, gluten and corn could do so much.11

Found out I did not get a job I had applied for at work which would have involved a promotion. While I am disappointed (and a little angry, if I'm being honest), I didn't try to self-soothe using alcohol and food. Instead, I am channeling those emotions to fuel my workouts at the gym.50
