Sorry I haven't been in for a while... Been very busy... Will update tomorrow. In the meantime though, saw this and thought of y'all. Because holy crack on a cake plate.

YUM.
Speaking of cheesecake, I had half a piece of this yesterday at the Cheesecake Factory... the pecan caramel turtle one. I think it's my new favorite.

Day 30- It was my birthday, so I had an oreo crème filled and a brownie filled chips ahoy, then banana tempura and like 3 slices of red velvet cake with vanilla frosting.
Day 31- Devil Dog
Day 32- 3/4 of a strawberry Pop Tart, a cup of cherry vanilla ice cream and a Sara Lee Brownie Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake. It's really tasty but had I known it was so small, I probably would have gotten something else.
Day 33- Sara Lee Brownie Chocolate Chip Cake, Oreo creme filled chips ahoy
Day 34- Sara Lee Brownie Chocolate Chip Cake, 3 Keebler Deluxe Fudge Grahams, and a mix of cookies and cream/espresso frozen yogurt topped with mochi, crushed snicker doodle cookies and oreos.
Day 35- 3 Keebler Deluxe Fudge Shoppe Grahams and a slice of Pineapple Upside Down Cheesecake from the cheesecake factory. HOLY COW. This was amazing. It was nice and light, and even though it was over 1000 calories, it was well worth it.0 -
I've been camping so we ate all teh s'mores. Tried the reeses s'mores and it was delicious but I think I prefer the original. I'm kind of a traditionalist when it comes to dessert flavors.0

Creme brulee pie for lunch. Forgot to take a picture. It was amazing. Will slow down on treats this week though.0

I've been slacking on updating here but this was my sundae from today.. Reese's Peanut butter cup, with Reese's Peanut Butter swirled into Vanilla Ice cream and fresh whipped cream... YUM

I actually bought a Brioche at Whole Foods too this morning (my mom brought 3 from France and there's only a bit left, the kids ate most of it). Just found out today that mine is selling them. I don't think I'll touch it though (it's one of those things I love but only have once in a while really because it takes 100g to be satisfied and it's 350 calories and you're hungry an hour later). My favorite is still the one from Wegmans though, it has little pieces of half melted sugar in it (like 'cramique' or 'craquelin' in Belgium) and it's like crack, but the small loaf is like 1300 calories and I could easily eat it all.
Hmmmm, I might have to pay a visit to Wegmans! The ones we got were mini ones, I guess. They were the size of a small muffin, and just around 200 calories, with salt crystals sprinkled on top. That's what she thought was sugar, and so did I until I took a bite!
Wow salt on brioche is kinda odd.
Is it? I was a first timer, so I didn't know. It was good, though!
Yesterday I ate everything. I only ate one spread out meal, so I figured what the heck. I had some apple Snickers salad (granny smiths, chopped Snickers and whipped cream), some kind of cookie pie thing with chocolate chips and caramel topped with vanilla ice cream, blueberry cobbler type thing, s'mores bar and a sliver of key lime pie. All small servings (except the apple Snickers thing), because I wanted to try all of it. Today it was 3 dark chocolate coins and Edy's Drumstick.0 -

dAY 37- Had a reward for a free pastry, so I got a Peach Pecan Crunch Muffin from Panera. This was light and delicious.
Day 38- Sara Lee Brownie Chocolate Chip Cake and 3/4 of a serving of Ben and Jerry's Rockin Blondie0 -
I bought a new ice cream to keep at work, Turkey Hill Chunky Peanut Butter. It's goooood! I only had one big spoonful, and I'm going to have a spoonful of Jeni's Sweet Potato with Torched Marshmallow tonight. Yeah, I'm still working through that one slowly! :bigsmile:0

Brownies today. Kids' school show and they had cookies and brownies after. Some of the brownies were almost fudge like... so delicious.0

I finally got to try those Yasso frozen Greek yogurt bars yesterday. Bleh. It's pretty bland. Big disappointment.0

Back from my month in Italy in which I ate pastries almost every morning and gelato AT LEAST once a day. Not to mention all the pizza, pasta and wine...
Weighed in yesterday and today, looks like about a 2 lb gain from my maintenance number but well within my maintenance range and a totally pleasant surprise since I had figured on at least 7-10 lbs the way I was eating!
Just wanted to say thanks to LOLBro for starting the gelato thread and then this one, and to all of you posting here for all the awesome suggestions, food porn pics, baking inspiration, and new friend requests!0 -

Awww thanks! It was all the walking we did. Seriously, it was a little heartbreaking not to count all the steps b/c I couldn't charge my FitBit. Now that I'm back though, I seriously am going to start baking!0 -

I'm convinced that's how I manage not to gain on vacation too. A week of walking, snorkeling, and bike riding cover a multitude of stops for gourmet ice cream.0 -
I spent 9 days in Austria -- and while I didn't eat to the point of bursting, I wasn't watching what I ate either. If I was hungry and it looked good, it was consumed. If it was covered in whipped cream: consumed. If it was Sacher torte: eaten. (Btw, forget whatever Yelp reviewers tell you: the best Sacher torte BAR NONE is at the Sacher Cafe. Do not waste your time with other cakes.) Schnitzel? Done. Einspaenner (espresso with a giant dollop of whipped cream) was my standard drink.
The morning after we returned I weighed exactly the same.
I then lost 3 pounds in the next 2 days.
Metabolism and weight loss are strange, strange things...0 -

I saw it at Safeway, but couldn't get it at the time. Went back the next day, and it was gone! :sad:0 -

Wow! Very nice! If your carbs were lower when you came home, you probably dropped some water weight. Nice way to lose. :happy:0 -
