My range is between 105-110. If I go below 105, my face starts to look gaunt (the perils of being over 40). If I go over 112, I try to cut back on the noshing. I wouldn't mind if I went above 110 if I was gaining muscle. My current body fat percentage is 19-22% (according to the Tanita scale and depending on time of day/month and what I've eaten/drank). I am a little under 5'3" with a small frame.

I'm, 5'91/2 and big boned. I once got down to around 160 and my friends and family actually told me I looked sick. So now when I get back down to around 180-185 I will be satisfied with that.

I'm 53 years old and at 5' 9", the 165-170 the charts say is just too thin, The lowest I've been in the last 10 years was 182 and people thought I had been ill. My doc and I set my goal at 195 as a number I can reach and maintain. I'd to get to 192 because 30 pounds is a nice round number and will give me a little leeway. I've never actually made it to maintenance because when I was in Weight Watchers my goal was so low that I burned out before I got there. (4 times!) I have 15 lbs. to go now and the thought of maintenance both thrills and terrifies me! But this time it is for life and I will do it with the help of MFP.

I'm usually maintaining at +/- 5lbs between 128-133. I'm trying maintain between 127-130 currently right now after ballooning back up to 138, from eating terribly for about ... 3 weeks. I'm 5'7

I'm 5'9.25" and I try to maintain between 126-129, but I've bounced from 125-131 since entering maintenance for a number of reasons.

I have a medium-sized frame so many people don't think it's a good look for me. I think it's more that my weight loss seemed to be more "severe" from the top half of my body (which looks like bones) than the bottom half (which still looks flabby and much bigger because genetically, I won some nice cankles/huge calves.)

Ah well. You can't choose where you want the weight to come off. I eat at least 2K/day and I don't work out (aside from walking) so whatever.

I'm 5'4" and my maintenance range is 130-135. I'm at 138 right now, and have been holding around 136-138 for a few weeks, so I'm buckling down to get back to my "happy place." At my lowest I was 127 and it just didn't feel right.

    Male
    5'10"-5'11"
    upper small/lower medium frame
150-160lbs is my intended maintenance range.

That might be higher if I decide to bulk up a bit after hitting my goal weight and bodyfat percentage.

  • 5'7 and my range is 130-136. I've been sitting pretty at 134 for quite a while. It's the number I consistently see on the scale.

I'm 5'8", 50 yrs old, and my maintenance range is 130-136 (I aim for 132 - which gives me 2 under and 4 above for TOM, salty meals, etc (you know the drill). I am quite fine boned and my body fat percentage according to Fat2Fit tools is 18.5%. I used to weigh 125 when I was 25 which is still in my healthy BMI range but I know that would look too thin now at my age.

edit: I go by the WHO & CDC charts as I figure they have a pretty good sample size for 'normal' (the whole world, lol)

I'm 53, 5.4. Medium frame, and at 130. My goal was 135. but think I am most comfortable between 130-133.

I am pretty steady even though Ive been at goal for a month or so and keep coming in under calorie goal daily.. I go between 129-131 - Still am figuring out numbers also and struggling to eat 1500 cal. (small eater) Hoping to up them to 1600 soon though as i am getting busier outside.

    Working on toning also.

I usually bounce between 10 pounds. I don't like the high end (at this point it's 175), so I'm going to lose 10 more pounds and hopefully hover between 155-165. :)
I'm still trying to figure out what weight looks good on me. I don't want to look sickly, I want to be hott!! Not a stick!

How is one to really know? Here are my ideal weights according to different formulas:

Based on the Robinson formula , your ideal weight is 127.2 lbs

Based on the Miller formula , your ideal weight is 133.2 lbs

Based on the Devine formula , your ideal weight is 125.4 lbs

Based on the Hamwi formula, your ideal weight is 123.7 lbs

Based on the healthy BMI recommendation, your recommended weight is 104.4 lbs - 141.1 lbs <----What? 104 to 141?
that's one hell of a range lmao.

Realistically, i would say my maintenance Range is going to be from 140-150. I am 5-3 and yes, that is still a bit chunky, but...considering how much i weighed when starting this? (230) I think it's a realistic goal.

I got down to my goal weight of 50kg (110lbs) but since then have gained a couple lbs, I weigh in always between 50kg-55kg (110lbs-121kg) Is this an okay maintenance range? I'm 5'1 tall as well.

    What is your maintenance range?

I'm 5'1" & weigh 109lbs. Anything from 107-115 would be fine for me

Yeah it's a great range. I'm the same size but with a little bone structure so mine is between 100-110, few pounds to spare either way.

    Good luck, and you're fine!!

I'm 5'4" and my goal weight was 130, which is where I am now. However I prefer to be a few pounds lower than that and keep my range at 125 to 130. So right now I'm looking to loose a couple of pounds.

I don't really care what my weight is when I reach my goal. I'm trying to build muscle so my maintenance weight will be higher than the average woman of the same height. The actual number I weigh has become unimportant and it's pretty liberating.

my body likes 126-132 and for some reason it takes a hella ton of effort to make it go below or above that

I am the same as the poster above me, `126-132lbs is my happy range, anything below that is just too low for me :).
