Kazik and Jasiek don't rhyme. Kazik is the diminutive of Kazimierz and Jasiek is the diminutive of Janusz. In Polish male names the diminutives are quite similar, like Tomek, Marek, Bartek, etc. For females it's often ka. They called me Majka. You could call someone named Ewa Ewka. Or Anna Anka (I think). etc.
