i wasn't that crazy about it either. I got the fat free daisy cottage chesses. when I opened it you see that it's all tiny balls- kinda like dipping dots or pearl onions.
I scooped some and poured it into a strainer and got rid of the cream and it just left these little "pearls". It tasted so much better- I sprinkle it on my salad kinda like feta cheese. it tasted like mozzarella.
Don't know if that will work with the cottage cheese u have- but this works for me.

I had to eat little bowls of cottage cheese a lot as a kid. Just never thrilled me then so I don't eat it now. Though large curd cottage cheese blended with ricotta and parmesan are a must for killer lasagna. That's about the only time you'll cottage cheese in my fridge.

Just reading the words "curd size" makes my gag reflex kick in.

Never, not one time in my entire 48 years of life, have I put cottage cheese into my mouth.

For me, it's like sour milk, smells like it, looks like it, probably tastes like it, but not gonna try it. Cannot imagine drinking a glass of sour milk either.

Save some money and just get cheese curds from the cheese guy at whatever farmers market you have. We could always get a bag for like $2.00. It was a Saturday treat, we called it squeaky cheese. Cause, you know...it squeaks.

Those are great. I can eat a silly amount of them. Haven't seen them at my farmers market yet this year, so haven't checked the calories. I assume I won't be happy.

I don't like it plain or savory. I use honey or syrup or even fruit jam.

I feel you. I thought the same until I bought whole milk Cottage cheese, it tasted way different then skim, or low fat. I eat it mixed with peaches (canned)...or I just scramble it with my eggs, or I honestly just it mixed with chicken, tomatoes, pepper, onions. :0)
