Oh Lord. Poor little duckie.0 -
Another for cottage cheese! I had some left over after making moussaka one night, and my boyfriend hadn't tried it before. Now we easily go through 3 containers in a week.0
-
Raisins my downfall , dried fruit!0
-
Rare beef steak. Just one among many must haves.0

Another one: Morel mushrooms. Been picking them wild my whole life, so not paying the insane price to buy them (second most expensive mushroom behind a truffle)
The most amazing flavors ever.
Love morels!!0 -
Whipped Cream.... everyday...lol (I will run out to get some if there is none left.) Used to mix with PNB, but that got out of control calorie and fat wise...lol0
-
a few I love and don't see often mentioned...
blackberries
honeydew melon
shredded/flake coconut (sweetened or unsweetened)0 -
Duck.
My favorite bird to eat. Other people though...either go "Ewww!" or have never had it.
Why is that apex predators such as ourselves only eat 3-4 animals? Beef, pork, chicken, sometimes turkey. Well and various fish but that's practically a vegetable, as Ron Swanson says.
We need to eat a wider variety of lesser creatures.
Duck is expensive to buy, and many people don't have the means, know-how or desire to hunt. But why do we need to eat more variety?0 -
I like parsnips and I don't see a lot of people eating those, but I don't really look either.
I also like brussel sprouts, but that isn't too uncommon.
I like okra, but I don't get it often.
When small game is in season, I will often get some rabbit and squirrel.
Squirrel Spaghetti.....NOM.0 -
Kimchi and home made sauerkraut
(but not in the same dish...)
I agree on kimchi...also Korean food in general (bibimbap, seafood pancake, beef bulgogi dishes). I am not sure why, a lot of my friends on MFP and off haven't tried Korean or dislike it, even if they love Thai, Chinese, Japanese food. I LOVE Korean food!0 -
Morels! The best thing about Michigan.... the winters here suck, but we have morels. Yummy... Sliced, sauteed in butter, don't need breading.0
-
capers0
-
Chili. I can make a mountain of it, freeze it in individual containers, and have instant dinners for weeks.0
-
