I ran my first 13 miles 6 months ago in about 2:40 minutes. I was 170ish pounds at the time. I ran my first “official” half two weeks ago in 2:14 minutes at 140 pounds. Not to bad for someone who started running last year at 190 pounds / 41 years old / arthritic/ at 5’2” tall.

I am attempting my first full marathon on December 10th using the walk/run intervals method. So nervous! However, as my training partner pointed out, your first time is always a PR. Just have fun. :)
