The Ultimate Poverty Dinner

I wasn't raised in poverty, but I did spend 8 years in college. I was married for two of them and my hubby had a garden.
We literally used to buy the ramen and I would cook it with his veggies and call it good.
I'm pretty sure I lived off of that, yoga and coconut rum alone those days.
Unfortunately, I didn't know what a "food stamp" was.
It frustrating to know all those years we probably would've been eligible.
Being on a budget that small (although we were young and stupid and spent money on cigs, weed and booze on the regular) for food created basically a life time of food security issues, and messed up beliefs, like that eating isn't even important, I know it isn't because I've gone 30 days without it before.
Glad I don't have to worry about that anymore.
I feel rich having bacon, fish, beef and beer in the fridge at the current moment!0
