    I'm in NE Wisconsin.

I say Soda (I'm not a native to the area however)....but a lot of people around here say Pop or the all inclusive "Soda Pop".

    Sub.

    Lightening Bug

Also around here, drinking fountains are Bubblers.

    Omaha, NE.

    Soda
    Subs
    Lightening bugs

I think soda is leftover from my childhood in Texas (moved to Nebraska when I was 9). Everyone else says pop.

    Lightening bugs or fireflies?

I'm from south-western Illinois. I say soda, subs & lightening bugs (ha, rhyhms!). And Vess Black Cherry is the bomb.

I also say MissourEEEEE, not MissourAAAAAH

I can also correctly pronounce Hayti, Carondolet, LeMay & DesPeres

Originally from southern IL, where it was Coke, Sub, Ligthnin' Bug.

Now in Toronto, where it is Soda, Sub, Firefly.

Toronto Ontario, Canada? I have never heard a Canadian call Pop, Soda! And I lived a few years in Toronto.
In the Maritimes (east coast Canada) we typically say
Pop, Sub, either lightning bug (when we were kids) or firefly.

    Central Ohio

I grew up saying "pop," but my CA-native husband has converted me to calling it "soda."
    Subs
Both, though I think I mostly say "lightning bug."
    Cart
    Couch, usually, but sometimes sofa.
The liquor store is either that (liquor store) or the state store. Growing up, I remember my parents referring to it as the state store and we had the weird hours here in Ohio too: ie closed on Sundays and had to be bought by, I think, 9PM on other days.

I'm from northwestern WA (Seattle area) People here say soda or pop. I used to say pop more as a kid and now I say Soda more. We don't have Firefly/Lightning Bugs, but I would call them Fireflies, I guess. I say sub sandwiches, and couch for a long couch and sofa/loveseat for a short couch but maybe that's just me. Bathroom, but sometimes I throw "Restroom" in there for variety.

I lived in West Virginia for a little while and picked up random stuff like 'buggy' for a shopping cart. Man, do I get strange looks.

Washington state, with a little bit of Utah mixed in with a German mother.

    Soda
    Subs
Fireflies or lightning bugs (depending where I"m at)
Couch seats more than two, sofa seats two

I also say "Oh my heck!"
Capiche? Instead of "do you understand me?"

And not sure where it comes from but "how come why for?" Instead of "why did you do that? "

I think the strangest thing I heard was when I lived in Ohio for three years, some people would say hamburg instead of hamburger and jn Utah everyone referred to jeans as Levi's no matter what brand they were...
