What's your favorite breed of dog?

My current canine companion, Titus, was a rescue dog who had been in the shelter for 6 months before he found us. Had his DNA checked (at DNAmydog.com) as there are stupidheads in parts of this country who have enacted legislation/bylaws making him not welcome. The results came back with American Staffordshire Terrier mixed with Labradour Retreiver with a dash of Boxer and a smidgen of Daschund and Min Pin. The first two were obvious right away and I could even see the third but those last two... Inteestingly, the DNA My Dog Validated Breeds are based on breeds recognized by the American Kennel Club® (AKC). The term “pit bull” has come to describe several types of dogs, often of mixed breed, that share similar physical characteristics. There are several AKC breeds with characteristics often shared by dogs referred to as “pit bull” that are in our database, such as American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Boxer, Bulldog, Bull Terrier and Mastiff, so these breeds could be identified.0 -

I have 2 Black labradors... but my favourite breeds apart from them are Newfoundland , St Bernards, English bull mastiff and Rottweilers
I like big cuddly bears the best something you can wrestle with0 -
My daughter has been showing sight hounds for years, so my best friends have been Afghans. She recently hosted a Basenji and boy, I loved that dog. Quiet, alert, intelligent and active. Like the Afghan, it attaches to it's family and pretty well everyone else doesn't matter. Not overtly affectionate like the golden retriever or the lab.0

We had a Scottie when my kids were young, Great dog. I grew up with Pekingese and plan to get one as a my retirement gift to myself. ( If I ever get to retire!)0

Greyhound, whippet, rat terrier - the skinny, sleek kinds
I also like "pocket" dogs like chiweenies and wrinkly dogs like pugs and shar peis.
Nothing super furry because of my allergies.
If I ever get a dog, though, it'll be a Pyrenees/Anatolian mix to guard our livestock. so basically the complete opposite of all the dogs I like0 -
I've had so many can't pick just one: Old English Sheepdog, Labrador Retriever, Chihuahua, Great Pyrenees, Australian Shepherd, Belgian Malinois, German Shepherd, Australian Cattle Dog, not to mention a wide assortment of mutts.0

I love all dogs, but favor big dogs. I adore pound puppies, rescues, and muts. No breeders for me. I currently have 2 lab mixes. One is lab/pit bull mix (according to the pound papers), but I think she has whippet mixed somewhere in there. My other is a big yellow lab mix, not sure what he's mixed with but he's a huge guy. All my life I've had dogs - Pit Bulls, German Shepherds, Rotties, Dobermans, and even Chihuahua. I'm a crazy dog lady

I'm a fan of my Miniature Australian Shepard's. They are adorable and bratty. Best of both worlds!0

Mine are from a breeder, but they were ones that she couldn't get rid of, runts. SO I took them.0 -

Chopper is the best dog (boxer) around!
He is super friendly (maybe too friendly), loves to play, go for walks/car rides and is the best cuddler ever!
Oh, and he ONLY barks when playing!
