    Personality 100% If someone is genuinely wonderful, chances are they will always be wonderful and attraction will be based on wanting to be with them. If they are beautiful but their personality is not appealing then they will not remain beautiful to you.

    In most cases, looks are going to matter most at first, because if your interest is not sparked, then you will not bother to get to know the person's personality. I mean, I have never seen a woman walk into a room and thought to myself "Wow look at the personality on her!"

    Obviously there are exceptions to this - such as instances where you may get to know someone before seeing them (phone, email, etc.) And of course, if you are blind.

    I agree to a point. You can just as easily get to know someone through text/email/online, build them up in your mind, because you seen a 45 degree angle selfie, they're AMAZING at Sports trivia and anyone that has a phone sex operator voice with a hint of Tara Reid's rasp MUST be banging...

    then you finally meet in person, all ready with the engagement ring and they're straight out of the Goonies. That lust you had for them can literally disintegrate in .6 seconds. That easy. So, looks trumps.

    Both matter, but personality matter much more. If I am attracted to someone and they are a complete d-bag it's not going to happen. On the same hand if someone has an amazing personality but I don't find them attractive in the slightest, it becomes difficult as far as the "bedroom" aspect goes. With that being said though there have been occasions where someones personality actually made them become more attractive to me. If that makes sense.

    But I find a wide variety of "looks" attractive but there's only a small window of personalities that work for me.

    I've run into a lot of guys who I wouldn't automatically think are Tom Hardy look-a-likes but once they talk and they have me rolling on the floor laughing, I could listen to them for hours with puppy dog eyes

    but being attracted to someone matters, ....its too much of a loaded question for me to answer

    On first attraction looks of course. How else do you get start. Wow that girls I think has a awesome personality. let me get to know her.

    Later of for me to stay. I will say 60/40 splits personality/looks.

    Yeah, I am also in agreement with both. Also, it is not correct that personality does not influence looks upon a first meeting. It influences a lot. The way a person moves, the way they look at people, eye contact, smiling, confidence yet not arrogant, warmth, even clothing choices, or what they are saying when you meet them, the way they look when they are alone and thinking, how playful they are, etc. A lot about a person's personality can show. We are influenced by that much more than people seem to be aware of (from when I read replies on posts like this). We are taking that in and forming an impression of who we think they are and whether we want to get to know more. We may be mistaken or we may be correct, or maybe a combination. A lot can be communicated through looks, eyes, body language, actions.

    Word. I won't even consider a girl unless she dresses herself like a lady, catches every eye of the room she walks in - and for her to stick around longer than a week she has to have a catchy/cute personality.
