    I dont know how obscure they are, but High Tension is foreign and I dont know what Martyrs is, but its weird and a lot of people havent seen it lol

    I literally just watched Martyrs last week "LOVED IT"! and I own High Tension, it's on my list to watch next week hopefully :)

    1. Remo Williams: the Adventure Begins
    2. Four Feathers
    3. Iron Giant
    4. The 5th Element
    5. The Man who would be King
    6. 3:10 to Yuma (remake)
    7. Ecstasy of Order (doc. about Tetris)
    8. The Last Starfighter

    Which version of Four Feathers? I'm partial to the 1939 version - the Korda brothers knew how to make movies! :)

    Thanks! I was afraid the thread was dead lol! I added the top ones, Talk to Me is one of my all time favs! LOVED City of God, Bought 12 Angry Men the first day it was out on Blu-Ray Criterion!

    Just an FYI, they remade Harakiri about 2010 or so and in my opinion the story telling is way better in the original.

    I was referring to the Heath Ledger version. I've never seen the original. The story is terrific. I'll have to check out the first version.

    He's a favourite of mine, although I didn't rate his latest that highly (can't remember name, but you'd never want to fly again after seeing it), it knocked sucks off most things in cinema!

    high tension. i believe that was a french one, if i remember correctly.
    gummo. nothing to say other than very strange
    motel hell. low budget horror flick, but it used to crack me up when i was a teen
    dog soldiers. werewolf flick
    osa. another one i used to love when i was younger. mad max sort of film
    the stoned age.

    Just watched High Tension last night, it was great stuff! I love being able to see the horror genre from another cultures perspective!

    both wes anderson, both quirky, off the wall, ensemble cast (almost the same cast in each movie), both beautifully shot from wacked perspectives, and scripts that are pure poetry.
