Nachos-big gooey plates of nachos. I used to order them at every restaurant I went to!0

Every day at 5 pm, Vons puts out hot and fresh loaves of french bread.
I can't shop at Vons at 5pm until I reach my target weight.0 -
Chocolate in any form - candy bars, M & M's (especially), cookies, brownies, etc.

Taco bell.. I swear whenever I go there, I order one of everything and binge. My husband asks how I can eat that much, and my stomach not explode. I think last time I got a mexican pizza, 2 baja chalupas, nachos and cheese, and taco rice ( its rice with taco toppings, I'm stationed in japan ).. oh yeah and a carmel apple emanada!I I could have eaten more too! I try to make myself feel better by washing it down with 32oz of water lol... There is also this place in Japan where it's an all you can eat buffet, but all the food is raw and there is a little yakiniku grill in the middle of your table. You cook it yourself. I ALWAYS eat wayyy too much there. But yeah, Taco Bell is the bane of my existence.0

I'm gonna be Homer Simpson for a moment and say DONUTS!
Keep those little powdered sugar, or frosted chocolate donut gems away from me because I'll keep popping them down.0 -
Interesting how everybody's is different. For one of my friends, it's reese's pieces but she doesn't like peanut butter cups. I am just the opposite. Don't like the pieces, but I can make myself sick on the cups. Add pizza, mashed potatoes and good bread (with butter, please) to my list. And cheese. And bacon. And donuts, or anything donut like - cinnamon rolls, danish, coffee cake. And like everyone else, I just don't keep that stuff in the house.
Viewing these things as a drug has made it easier for me to stay away from them. That fact that I have allowed myself to be controlled by that crap disgusts me. And it occurred to me that I don't enjoy a handful of pretzels any less than a handful of potato chips, but I stop eating them when I am satisfied, not when I have eaten the whole bag. I need to learn to "Just say NO!"
The name of the book is "The End of Overeating" by David A Kessler MD0 -

Definitey white bread (especially if it is warm from the oven), anything chocolate, or cake. I CAN NOT buy a box of Twinkies. I will eat every single one myself within two days.0

Amen, coca cola, dear God, I am soooo addicted, but I have found that if I just take a sip here and there, I am getting over it. I still have it in my house, but I have to control myself, its every where you go, so I just breathe through it and walk away, but man its hard.0

Deep Fried Jalapenos. Not stuffed with cheese, just sliced, breaded and fried. And served with ranch. Super yum, but awful heartburn...0

I am really struggling with M&Ms now. Wife bought 4 medium bags recently. I have had more M&Ms in the last 3 weeks than I have had in the last 6 years. Not cool.0

Hello My Name is Deborah and am a foodaholic :ohwell:
I love food, carbs in particular and huge quantities.
That's why Jenny Craig and I get along so well. I call it my rehab program. All foods I love in controlled portions. Gives me breathing room while I lose the excess weight.
I am working on plans to head off binges in the future for my maintenance. I hope to break the cycle.
One day at a time~!0 -
Potato chips.
Luckily, I know well enough to portion out a bowlful instead of just eating out of the bag. If it's just me and the bag, those chips could very easily be gone in 10 minutes.
I am exactly the same.0 -
Carbs. Just about any carb but usually the texture varies with my emotions. Angry or frustrated and I want things like hard pretzels, chips, you know, crunchy things! On the opposite end of the spectrum when I'm content, I want creamy sauces and pastas - soft warm things. When either are eaten in too much quantity, they make me feel kinda...drunk is the only word that comes to mind. I'm light headed and heavy feeling all at the same time. I'm also content and happy for a while. Then I just pass out...wanna sleep for hours.
I just had a Gastric Sleeve about 5 weeks ago and can no longer have white carbs. They're painful to eat or so I'm told. I'm too afraid to try and honestly, I haven't had one craving for them. Having not had sugar or bread or pasta since before surgery has, I think, helped me clear my head. I hope I never want them again.0 -

Jteam what was the book called? Sounds like a good read,
Mine addiction is FOOD0 -
Interesting! The reason MOST of these replies are
- Pizza
- Chips
- Carbs/ Cookies/ Brownies
- Chocolate
is because it is SUGAR and MSG!! Sugar is very addictive telling your brain it makes you Happy and most processed foods have MSG which is a chemical that is addicting like "crack" and it tells your brain you NEED more and you crave it like a maniac!
Avoid any of those at all costs...(ha...ya I cant...)0 -
Fried chicken, chicken wings, chicken crispers, chicken fried steak, chicken mcnuggets >_<
