Mustard. All my life. Which has turmeric in it, lucky me. Now I'm adding turmeric into my food and still eating mustard. So if it really has any healthy properties, I'm getting the benefits.

    Old Bay.

So far just for seasoning popcorn and raw almonds, but then I don't cook much.

Oh AND also Old Bay. I put it on steamed yellow squash last night.

Weber - All Natural Boston Bay Seasoning

If you go to the website, it lists 5 calories per 1/4 tsp, or 20 calories a tsp. I grill 2 pieces of 4 oz fish, like Swai fish, and 1 tsp covers both of them real well.

For savory dishes, garlic is my go to (like the Frank's Red Hot lady I put that s**t in everything!) and for sweet dishes I love good old fashioned Quebec maple syrup.

If $$$ was unlimited I would put saffron in everything. I was fortunate to receive a 100g container of Iranian saffron from a fellow grad student, however I only break it out for my special occasion coconut saffron rice.

Oh I forgot! I love bay leaves in stuff that has to simmer for a while, and thrown in with my pot roasts.

It just adds a unique flavor that you can't really pick out when it's there, but you notice when it's not.

I also LOVE Cholula Hot Sauce. I can DRINK the stuff!

Does onion count? Probably not? I don't think I care. I can't live without an onion. I put it in everything. EVERYTHING.
