Marry for Money not Love

I know of great guys out there -- journalists, teachers, non-profit dudes -- who will probably make great dads. But I personally wouldn't wouldn't advise women pair up with them because, realistically, his salaries just wouldn't be enough to cut it for what they want out of life. But, but, but, "Bank accounts shouldn't matter at all!" And while I agree with that in theory, sorry, a man who can provide for a woman and their children is just much more attractive.
Right, women?
Right, women?

Who needs love when you drive a car worth an entire third-world village!0

Wait, are we drinking? It's not noon yet here. Can I go ahead and have a beer? Or would that be wrong? *rubs hands together nervously and twitches*0

IN for the drinks...0

Hmmm...methinks you're trying to troll, but hey, I'll bite.
I married for love the first time. I still believe there is love out there, but there has to be a happy median between money and love. I don't need someone wealthy, but to not have to worry so much about bills again would be fabulous, and to love the guy too, that would be a huge plus.0 -
What if I make my own money? :huh:0

You were supposed to go cookoo for Cocoa Puffs, not Coca Puffs.0

My salary is enough for what my child and I want out of life. I don't need a man to provide anything money can buy. Except maybe sex. I don't like paying for sex.0 -
I'm fairly poor, so I guess my wife loves me?0

I don't need a man to provide for me. I have this magic ability to do it myself.0

I get this, and I respect it. Keep on, Road.0

Mr. Darcy soon drew the attention of the room by his fine, tall person, handsome features, noble mien, and the report which was in general circulation within five minutes after his entrance, of his having ten thousand a year. The gentlemen pronounced him to be a fine figure of a man, the ladies declared he was much handsomer than Mr. Bingley, and he was looked at with great admiration for about half the evening, till his manners gave a disgust which turned the tide of his popularity; for he was discovered to be proud; to be above his company, and above being pleased; and not all his large estate in Derbyshire could then save him from having a most forbidding, disagreeable countenance, and being unworthy to be compared with his friend.0

My Hunni is not Rich but not Poor. And we live healthy, happy and blessed.
Plus its 2014--double incomes make a happy life!0 -

Why can't a woman find both? Are these things necessarily mutually exclusive? Are wealthy men inherently unlovable, while less well-off men are the ultimate in lovey-dovey perfection?0

OH! That's what I'm doing wrong. Noted.0

^^This. I hate paying for sex.
I am "single" in the marital sense and provide just fine for Shiloh, Miss Pickles, Benjamin, mini and me.
