My name is Jac. I will be giving up eating in a caloric surplus.0

Give up breakfast.
At least delay it by three hours.
You'll survive on water alone.
Promise.
But that will make your metabolism die. You need a good breakfast to fuel the metabolic fire.0 -

Hi... I am really excited to see this challenge. I really think that this is something that I need to jump start my fitness and lifestyle goals!
Okay, so here it is... I am giving up on giving things up.
Whew! I feel AWESOME now. Time for a Snickers.

I decided to give up smoking but i always work in foods i want into my calorie goal for the day! No need to cut out foods that you love when you can have them in moderation Also if you find yourself going to that convenience store a little too often kick your *kitten* and start working out harder on those days to make up for it.0

I would say pizza but...

I give up giving things up because it isn't necessary.
I respectfully disagree. In theory it's nice to believe that no one should have to give up anything in order to be successful in their weight loss, however, some people recognize that there are things they need to get rid of completely in order to succeed because they've tried doing them in moderation in the past, but it hasn't worked. Also, if someone is currently at a plateau, getting rid of one of those nagging bad habits, can jump start their weight loss again, which is always a plus0 -

This!
If you follow your calorie deficit it's kind of difficult to fit in too much junk anyway. I eat all my favourite foods, but less so than before because I don't want to waste my entire day's calories on not-so-filling-but-very-awesome chocolate bars.
I eat very healthy during the day just to save up for ice cream at night :bigsmile:0 -
So giving up going to this one store, what is that going to teach you? I don't understand this at all, there will always be other stores, other temptations and not learning to deal with those isn't going to solve anything.
The general idea was to break my bad habit of going every day.0 -

But going to a store I don't see the problem? Learning to go to the store and not buy everything in the store and consuming at once that I can get.0 -

Serious question: do you have any other thoughts?0 -
I'm starting to think what I need to give up is time spent on the message boards instead of working out... XD0

I never complete give up everything but reduce the amount of intake and try buying healthier options instead. Like now I only buy whole wheat bread instead of white and trying to reduce soda.0

Cauliflower.
(OK full disclosure - I actually gave it up in 1965, my farts have smelled sweeter ever since.)0
