As long as the ingredients are minimal, then the "healthiness" of peanut butter is going to be about the same brand-to-brand.
As far as preference, I like the Trader Joe's creamy organic peanut butter. I find it to be a little thinner, which makes it easier to spread and therefore provides more easily distributed peanut taste and allows me to use less. I mean, if it was up to me, I'd have a sandwich with an inch thick layer of crunchy peanut butter and a nice layer of honey every day, but open-faced toast with a thin layer of PB and a drizzle of honey clocks in close enough.
Dang. Now I REALLY want some PB. Sorry, went down the rabbit hole a bit there. :laugh:0 -
I am with the alot of the others in that there is no one healthier than the other...., I have a VitaMix and have made my own peanut butter, cashew butter, etc... But on a daily basis (and I eat Peanut butter daily) I prefer the Natural Jiff and I have both the crunchy and creamy..... Best of Luck
And in my opinion the PB2 is not a good replacement for all natural peanut butter... In my opinion it doesn't even compare in taste... I would rather spend the calories on the real thing....0 -
I choose any peanut butter that lists ingredients as either JUST peanuts or peanuts and salt. Jif, Skippy, Peter Pan, and many store brands add hydrogenated oils, which we try to avoid. Jif Natural adds sugar and palm oil.0

Hello! I am looking for the healthiest natrual peanut butter! Maybe I can just use the food processor and process the peanuts and just add water (idea)?!
What PB would you recommend? TIA! :drinker:
You'd use a grinder, and you don't add water.0 -
I use Nuts N' More because it has some added goodness and tastes great.

PB2!!!
YUP!!!! Found the stuff at Walmart recently. 45 cals vs almost 200? Uh Heck yeah!!! The chocolate peanut butter is really good too. I even mix in about 1/2 tsp of honey and cut back on the water so it isn't runny.... Tastes soooo good on half an english muffin!0
